By Scott C.

Heads up Hawkeye fans, Marvel Entertainment, and SiriusXM has an audio treat for you. The upcoming scripted podcast series called Marvel’s Wastelanders: Hawkeye will premiere on Monday, October 4th, 2021, on the SXM App and Marvel Podcasts Unlimited on Apple Podcasts.

The second installment in the Marvel’s Wastelanders audio series, with the first one being Marvel’s Wastelanders: Star-Lord, will have 10-episodes to listen to and is written by J. Holtham (Jessica Jones) and directed by Rachel Chavkin (Hadestown). One Thousand Birds is original sound design, and the original score is by James Harrison Monaco, and JJJJJerome Ellis. Fans of Hawkeye can listen to the teasers by simply clicking here.

The cast has Stephen Lang (Avatar) as Hawkeye, Sasha Lane (Loki) is Ash, and Jess Barbagallo will be Max. Meanwhile, Michelle Hurd is Bobbi Morse/Mockingbird, Bobby Moreno is Junior, Joe Morton is Ringmaster, Tracie Thoms is Kate Bishop, and Lea DeLaria is Raven/Mystique.

The story is set around Marvel villains killing almost all of the Marvel superheroes thirty years ago. Hawkeye survived, yet everything is not okay for our hero. He is now “A sideshow freak, re-living the worst day of his life for paying audiences … broken, losing his sight.” However, Hawkeye wants to avenge the fallen. He wants to kill those responsible for killing the world’s superheroes. So, let the hunt begin.

The Director of Audio at Marvel, Jill Du Boff, said that she is “Thrilled for this next series set in the Wastelands!” Also was grateful that Marvel was “Lucky enough to work on the show with a top-notch creative team, writer J. Holtham and Tony Award-winning director Rachel Chavkin, along with actors Stephen Lang and Sasha Lane to name a few members of the incredibly talented cast.”

Again, Marvel’s Wastelanders: Hawkeye will be available on the SXM App and Marvel Podcasts Unlimited on Apple Podcasts. But the episodes will also be available two weeks later on Pandora, Stitcher, and many other audio platforms in the United States.
