The Expanse Announces Season Premiere Date at NYCC 2021

By Miclpea

Amazon Prime Video announced the highly anticipated premiere date for Season 6 of The Expanse at New York Comic Con (NYCC). The first episode of Season 6 will premiere on December 10, 2021, with new episodes available each Friday. The series will culminate in an epic series finale episode on January 14, 2022. In a change from previous seasons, Season 6 will only have six episodes.

The long-anticipated sixth and final season of The Expanse picks up with the solar system at war, as Marco Inaros and his Free Navy continue to bombard both Earth and Mars with devastating asteroid attacks.

On the Rocinante, tension flares as the crew deals with their shared loss of family and friends. In the Belt, Drummer and what’s left of her family are on the run after betraying Marco.

Meanwhile, Chrisjen Avasarala makes a bold move and sends former Martian Marine Bobbie Draper on a secret mission that could turn the tide of the conflict. And on a distant planet beyond the Rings, a new and frightening power begins to rise.

The final season reunites stars Steven Strait (Holden), Dominique Tipper (Naomi), Wes Chatham (Amos), Shohreh Aghdashloo (Avasarala), Cara Gee (Drummer), Frankie Adams (Bobbie), Keon Alexander (Marco), Nadine Nicole (Clarissa), and Jasai Chase Owens (Filip) for what promises to be the most epic season yet. This final season ultimately calls back to the words of the XO of the Canterbury from the first episode.  “We make it all this way, so far out into the darkness. Why couldn’t we have brought more light?”

I know that I and other fans cannot wait! Here is a teaser trailer for the final season.
