Netflix announced the release date of the third and final season of Lost in Space. Mark your calendars for December 1st, 2021.

This season takes place one year after the conclusion of the season two with Judy (Taylor Russell), Penny (Mina Sundwall), Will (Maxwell Jenkins), and the Robot in charge of a group of 97 younger colonists who were separated from the adult colonists during the attack on the Resolute. The younger colonists are trapped on a planet but, as we know from past seasons, space is not exact a safe place … DANGER Will Robinson! Meanwhile, Maureen (Molly Parker), John (Toby Stephens), and Don (Ignacio Serricchio) are working hard to reunite with the children.

The teaser offered a few hints at what’s in store for this final season of this intergalactic tale, however, we are unsure of the fate of Doctor Smith (Parker Posey) who was noticeably absent from the trailer. I have been following the social media posts of the cast during filming and there was no sign of her either, so I will assume the fate of her character is a guarded secret.

I have been anxiously waiting for the series to return but it will be bittersweet since it will also mark the conclusion of the story. Either way, my calendar is marked and plans are cleared for Lost in Space Season Three!!!
