Next Week in TV 11/7: Farewell Supergirl

By DRWHO42 & Scott C.

The week ahead will see the return of a familiar character and the farewell of a hero.

First up is the return of our favorite serial killer, Dexter (played by Michael C. Hall). This revival, Dexter: New Blood, takes place ten (10) years after the conclusion of Dexter. Fans should also be happy to see the return of Jennifer Carpenter to the series. You may be asking how but you will have to watch the revival to find out.

This week we say farewell to the woman of steel, Supergirl, this Tuesday night on The CW, with back-to-back episodes (8 p.m. ET). The series, which started on CBS and made a successful move to The CW, was groundbreaking and established a solid fan base. While it was part of the Arrowverse, the series did find its theme and helped establish the path for Superman & Lois. While we are sad to see this series conclude; however, we are hopeful there will be a cameo or two in the other Arrowverse/Superman show from time to time.

Doom Patrol on HBO Max wraps up its third season this week (the morning of November 11th). But in happier news, the series will return for a fourth season.

Lastly, Red Notice debuts this Friday (the morning of November 12th) on Netflix. This heist movie features a trio of A-List actors like Gal Gadot, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, and Ryan Reynolds. Of course, you can click here for more on this film.

In some television news, it has been a quiet week, but on November 6th, Netflix hosted a Stranger Things Day event. Of course, fans of the series saw teasers and hints related to the upcoming fourth (and final?) season on social media. The fourth season debuts on the summer of 2022.

That’s all for this week. As always, please let us know what you will be watching when visiting the FoCC forum. You can also follow us on Facebook and Twitter.
