Mike Myers’ The Pentaverate Comes to Netflix
by Transmute Jun
I’ve been a fan of comedian Mike Myers for a long time. One of his lesser-known films, So I Married an Axe Murderer, contains a brief scene where the main character’s father (also played by Mike Myers) discusses a secret society called The Pentaverate: a group of 5 people who rule the world.
It seems that this small seed has been with Myers for a long time, and it is now truly coming to light. Myers is producing (and starring in) The Pentaverate, an upcoming Netflix series about a group of 5 individuals who rule the world. Myers plays a Canadian journalist (one of his many characters in this show) who stumbles across knowledge of this secret society, and encounters a number of roadblocks when he attempts to investigate their existence. You can learn more about The Pentaverate here.
The Pentaverate also stars Ken Jeong (Community), Debi Mazar (LA Law) and Jennifer Saunders (Absolutely Fabulous) and is narrated by Jeremy Irons (Watchmen, Justice League). The show premieres on Netflix on May 5. Watch the teaser trailer below.
