FoCC Con Intel: Star Wars Celebration Anaheim ‘22 Lottery This Week

By Scott C.

Star Wars Celebration (SWC) 2022 (May 26-29 at the Anaheim Convention Center) is only a few weeks away. We received some lottery information a few weeks ago, but no signup date was announced. Thankfully, that has all changed!

With this ReedPop/Lucasfilm event, a lottery win is required to have a chance to attend the morning panels at the Celebration Stage, Galaxy Stage, and Twin Suns Stage each day of the show. Beginning Monday, May 16, fans can visit the Celebration website, then enter the email address that was used to buy their badge, select their desired panels, then get a group code after submitting, and hope for the best. Multiple entries using the same email address will void your entries. Also, for those that have more badges, fans can add 3 people plus themselves (i.e. a maximum of 4 people total) to a panel request. The main badge buyer can also enter the emails of each person in their group, so that their friends/family can stay up to date. Lastly, the lottery closes on Sunday, May 22 at 11:59 p.m. PT, giving fans a week to enter. Lucky winners will get QR codes via email. Update 1 (5/12): Group maximum is now 12 people instead of 4. Update 2 (5/16): the delay is over, the lottery is now live.

Jedi Masters won’t be able to participate in the panel lottery since they already have reserved seating for every Celebration Stage morning panel.

To have a chance to visit the Funko, and Loungefly booths: fans will need a different lottery win. This part of the booth lottery uses the same system as the panel lottery.

The LIGHTSPEED Lane system will also allow fans to reserve a time to shop at the “Celebration Store or attend panels on the Galaxy and Twin Suns Stages without the need to stand in line.” To do so, fans can use the Star Wars Celebration mobile app (once available) or go to the Celebration website to try to get a time slot, at 9 a.m. PT (May 26-29). Note that since a badge needs to be scanned in order to enter the Celebration Store or a stage area through LIGHTSPEED Lane, as well as to try for a time slot in the first place, fans must activate their badges before heading to the event. Luckily, the activation process will begin sometime next week on the Celebration website. Update 3 (5/12): Actually, badges can be activated now; click here to do so. Of course, I can hardly wait to visit a galaxy far, far away; to celebrate all things Star Wars with the fans and guests.
