FoCC SDCC Intel: Funko Announces Funkoville!

By Scott C.

San Diego Comic-Con 2022 (to be held July 21-24) is quickly approaching. Funko, the vinyl figures and bubbleheads company of many different licensed properties since 1998, has big plans for the show next month! Funko has announced its giant Comic-Con booth called “Funkoville.

The enormous booth (pictured below) will consist of Funko, Loungefly, and Mondo. Yes, you read that right. Mondo (the maker of vinyl records, posters, toys, games, and more) was sold by Alamo Drafthouse to Funko very recently. In past Comic-Cons, Mondo had a booth by themselves before the purchase.

“Funkoville” also includes a movie theater, diner, and a grocery store for the themed neighborhood. The booth numbers for the area housing the “fun” on the show floor are 5341, 5137, and 5145. Also, more information on how to enter the booth will be announced soon by Funko, but remember, you will need a Comic-Con badge to access the booth. No Badge? Well, know that Comic-Con 2022 is sold out, so sorry for the bad news.

Yet the Funko news does not stop there. Fans of the company should also expect a Hall H Comic-Con panel (no date/time announced yet) featuring Rosario Dawson, Simu Liu, and William Zabka. Plus, Fundays event tickets will be on sale soon to the general public, and two brand-new Toucan Pops! were announced this morning. You can click here to view both items.

Exclusives can be bought on Funko.com and at their stores in Everett plus Hollywood on July 21, while some will be shared with select retail partners, as seen with the recent Star Wars Celebration. Lastly, Funko has begun announcing more exclusives and shared new information for July, so I strongly recommend following their many social media channels to stay up-to-date.
