Next Week in TV 6/19: Multiverse of Madness With Obi-Wan Kenobi, Umbrella Academy, & Beavis and Butt-Head?

By Scott C. & DRWHO42

The upcoming week will have lots of entertainment options to select from, with a few finales airing as well.

First, the HBO science fiction drama series The Time Traveler’s Wife’s finale is airing at 9 p.m. ET on Sunday. Yet I’m sure fans reading this are probably wondering if the finale will be it for the show? It is hard to say, but how the story is going so far, it sure seems like a second season is being set up.

Disney Plus is getting a strange visit from a doctor this week, thanks to Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness movie premiering on the streaming service on Wednesday (around 3 a.m. ET). This movie came out in early May in theaters; it is about our main hero, Doctor Strange, trying to figure out what the heck is going on after meeting a powerful teenage girl from another universe.

Also, on Disney Plus, on Wednesday (again, around 3 a.m. ET) is the finale of Obi-Wan Kenobi. Now, it is possible this limited series isn’t that anymore, because director Deborah Chow has stated recently that there are some stories left to be told of Obi-Wan Kenobi. So, let the waiting “season 2 news” game begin!

The Umbrella Academy returns for a third season on Netflix this Wednesday (yes, around 3 a.m. ET).

Paramount+ sees the return of two well known dudes from the 90s, and it’s Beavis and Butt-Head! In Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe, this animated movie has the two main characters, “Sentenced to Space Camp by a ‘creative’ judge in 1998, leading to a trip on the Space Shuttle, with predictably disastrous results.” Fans of the two can watch the movie on Thursday (3 a.m. ET).

For everything else airing soon, we recommend looking at the listing below.

In the world of news, Avatar the Last Airbender franchise will be soon getting multiple movies, Snowpiercer wrapping up in season 4, and a Games of Thrones sequel starring Kit Harington as Jon Snow is happening.

Westworld season 4 (premiering June 26 on HBO) got a new trailer online (viewable by clicking here). Lastly, a Wonder Man show for Disney Plus is in the works, and Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con 2022 is getting a panel from the world of Middle-earth. The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power series is invading the event! Expect more details about the panel itself soon.

That is it for this week! Please, let us know what you will be watching when visiting the FoCC forum. You can also follow us on Facebook and Twitter.
