What I Want for the Holidays 2022

It’s been a whirlwind of a year! Back in January, there were shutdowns and mask mandates due to the Omicron winter surge. Gas and food prices were half of what they are now. Yet the year hasn’t all been bad. Life has returned even more to normal post-COVID. Many cons that had canceled their in-person shows in 2020 and 2021 came back this year, notably San Diego Comic Con (SDCC). It seemed as if everyone was traveling, and airports and hotels filled up again.
So to what do we look forward in 2023? What gifts are we hoping to receive for the holidays, and what resolutions do we have for the New Year? Here’s what the staff members of FoCC Blog want for the holidays.
Gifts
- Streaming subscriptions
- Movie tickets
- Walking shoes for cons
- Backpacks and other bags for carrying at cons
Resolutions for 2023
- To attend even more cons than in 2022 (including new cons)
- To host a panel (e.g. Expanse fan panel) at SDCC
- To get in better shape for walking and enduring nights of minimal sleep
- To not let the bad things in life bring us down
As for looking forward, it is our hope that life will continue to get better, and that even though there are changes, we want to stay close to our loved ones, enjoying the moments we share together. Whatever 2023 may bring, we know that there will be great films, exciting television and fantastic conventions over the next 12 months. And our ultimate wish is to share all of that with you on this blog.
