Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment returns to San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) 2023 with four panels, each showcasing a highly anticipated original animated film: Adult Swim’s The Venture Bros.: Radiant is the Blood of the Baboon Heart and Metalocalypse: Army of the Doomstar, DC’s Justice League: Warworld, and Babylon 5: The Road Home. The Venture Bros., Justice League, and Babylon 5 will have their world premieres at SDCC!
The Venture Bros.: Radiant is the Blood of the Baboon Heart will have its World Premiere on Thursday, June 20 at 8:30 pm in Room 6BCF. SDCC attendees will be among the first fans to experience this all-new original animated R-rated movie. The film is the series finale of seven outrageous seasons on Adult Swim. After the screening, attendees can join filmmakers, Jackson Publick and Doc Hammer, with key voice cast members for a panel discussion and audience Q&A.
The Metalocalypse: Army of the Doomstar panel will occur on Friday, July 21 at 1:00 pm in the Indigo Ballroom. Fans will be able to join the series co-creator Brendon Small as he talks about Metalocalypse. Small will be joined on the panel with surprise guests. Attendees will be able to preview clips from the upcoming R-rated film. Also, there will be the added bonus of information about the upcoming album, Dethalbum IV.
Justice League: Warworld will have its World Premiere on Friday, July 21 at 9:00 pm in Ballroom 20. Be among the first fans to see Warner Bros. Animation’s all-new, feature-length, R-rated film Justice League: Warworld at this World Premiere screening! In addition to the screening, the filmmakers and cast will be on hand for a panel discussion and audience Q&A.
Babylon 5: The Road Home will have its World Premiere on Saturday, July 22 at 6:30 pm in Room 6BCF. Babylon 5 celebrates its 30th Anniversary this year. After the screening, series creator J. Michael Straczynski (Sense8, Thor), along with returning original series actors Bruce Boxleitner (Captain Sheridan), Claudia Christian (Cmdr. Susan Ivanova), Tracy Scoggins (Capt. Elizabeth Lochley), and Patricia Tallman (Lyta Alexander), will host a panel discussion and audience Q&A about the all-new original movie in this beloved sci-fi saga.
For The Venture Bros and Babylon 5 fans, these premieres mark the end of years of dashed hopes for a return of these series. The world premieres remind us why San Diego Comic-Con is the must-attend genre convention in the world.
Note: attendees need to be aware that the announced guests and panelists may be subject to change and unavailable. However, we hope there is a possibility of surprise guests appearing at the panels.
