SDCC Con Intel: Factory Entertainment Brings Iconic Star Trek Ships to SDCC

By Miclpea

Fans of the original Star Trek and Star Trek: The Next Generation series are in for a treat at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC). Factory Entertainment, one of the leading producers of licensed motion picture and television prop replicas, will unveil a significant new product line at SDCC on July 19 at its booth (#2743).

The new line, FE Masterworks™, will launch with three iconic Star Trek ship models. The starships were created under license from Paramount Consumer Products:

  • The U.S.S. Enterprise, as seen in Star Trek: The Motion Picture and Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan
  • The U.S.S. Enterprise-D, featured throughout Star Trek: The Next Generation
  • The U.S.S. Excelsior, as seen in Star Trek III: The Search for Spock and Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country.

Each fully-licensed FE Masterworks™ product is hand-built in the U.S. by veteran modelmakers with extensive experience building models for major motion pictures and leading theme park companies. Each model is constructed using authentic film production techniques and materials to render a final product suitable for actual film use. The models are studio-quality spaceships with accurate lights, sounds, and details. A fourth Star Trek ship will make its debut later this summer.

For fans of meticulously crafted models, the FE Masterworks™ models are the latest in an extensive list of high-quality licensed toys, collectibles, and home goods. These models and other items from such entertainment properties as Batman, Back to the Future, James Bond, Jurassic Park, House of the Dragon, and Men in Black, will be available to order or purchase at the Factory Entertainment booth (#2743) at SDCC. It’s possible that you will see me there along with some of my colleagues from the blog.
