Next Week in TV 8/13: The Light August Schedule Continues

The usual quiet time for television in August explained last week continues; the TV lineup for the week ahead is somewhat better than last week’s lighter schedule. But nothing “major” until Ahsoka on Disney+ drops on August 23rd.
Domina on MGM+ enters its 2nd season finale this Sunday evening (10 pm ET). The life and rise of Roman Emperor Augustus Caesar’s wife, Livia Drusilla, the series still has not been renewed. But online bets in the entertainment news industry say it should return for a 3rd season.
Looking ahead to this Friday; the animated pup Snoopy has an animated special on Apple TV+ called Snoopy Presents: One-Of-A-Kind Marcie. Lucy Hale from Pretty Little Liars and the Flash himself, Grant Gustin, stars in the Freevee romantic comedy movie called Puppy Love. For more information, check the listing located below.
Quickly in the news, the WGA and AMPTP are negotiating, aka the WGA got a counterproposal from the AMPTP. The WGA will respond sometime next week. There is nothing new to report regarding the actor’s strike. The writers’ strike has passed 100 days, going over the 2007-2008 writers’ strike. But the longest is still the 1988 strike which lasted 154 days.
A new teaser trailer for Ahsoka debuted online, and VFX workers at Marvel Studios are looking to unionize. Lastly, Disney+ and Hulu will have a price increase this fall as well as an effort to crackdown on password-sharing.
