Next Week in TV 10/8: The Spooky Season Kicks Into Overdrive!

The spooky thrills and fun gets going even more so than last week.
Speaking of last week, though, the finale of the Star Wars Disney+ series Ahsoka concluded a good first season, with word that a second season is being discussed at Lucasfilm. If we had to guess, the blog believes a second season will happen. Remember, the untitled Dave Filoni Star Wars movie is eyeing a 2026 release that will wrap up every Star Wars series set in the Mandalorian era.
Also, last week on Disney+ was the season 2 premiere of Loki! So far, the new season started with a thriller first episode! Catch new episodes every Thursday night at 9 p.m. ET on Disney+.
As for this week, the main theme is that the Halloween season rages on with specials, movies, and shows galore! Thus, don’t forget to see the listing below to know which horror content will scratch your stubborn Halloween itch. Of course, don’t forget the classics available on several streaming services, and Freeform’s 31 Nights of Halloween, which began last week, is on every night this month.
Doom Patrol on Max returns with more season 4 episodes to entertain its fandom a bit longer (before saying goodbye) this Thursday.
Amazon’s movie The Burial, with Tommy Lee Jones and Jamie Foxx, debuts on Friday. Check out the listing below for more information.
Quickly in some news: a live-action version of Cyberpunk 2077 is in the works, The Marvels tickets go on sale this Tuesday, the actors’ strike is still on, but talks between SAG and the studios are still ongoing with more talks on Monday, and iCarly on Paramount+ was canceled.
