I voted Feb 21st. It seems a neutral Feb date, and basically....I picked it at random. haha. I don't care when they go on sale, so long as I can manage to actually GET tickets. :/

I am thinking late feb makes sense too.  I would assume they want it out of the way so staff can focus on wondercon.

I think it's either going to be the 7th (since pre-reg was the 8th last year) or the 21st (since it's the late middle of February). I don't think they'd do it on Valentine's Day XD

I'm going to say Feb 21st, because I'll be out of the country, and the sales all happen at the most inconvenient times for me (had tickets to The Book of Mormon Saturday afternoon, and cut it REALLY close with the sale).
I'm going to NYC next week and I want to take in a show.  I'm tied between The Book of Mormon and Hedwig and the Angry Inch.  What was your opinion on TBoM?

And my guess for registration is January 31st

You didn't ask me, but I LOVED Book of Mormon!  My daughters and I have seen it twice in NYC and will see it every time we visit from now until forever.  If you enjoy South Park you will love it!

The convention is earlier this year, the sales so far have been similar to years past (except last year when the sale was late.) The general sale has always been the middle to late February(except last year). My vote is February 21st.  It will not be Valentines day...

Which Disney are you going to? Disneyland has free wifi in the hotels, and Disneyworld has free wifi all over the parks. You don't need a fast connection, just a solid connection.

I'm staying offsite in a hotel, but I was more referring to bunking in front of a tablet screen for a couple hours while out in a park, when I'm supposed to be walking around Disney...

Good to know about the WiFi in the park tho, so that may help make it go a lil quicker, so maybe I won't get the evil eye from the other half while in the park... 8)

If you're going to be at Disneyworld, then the sale would be at noon (since you'll be on Eastern time). Login to the waiting room on your tablet at about 11:30 am. Make a sit down lunch reservation for 11:50 or so. When you sit down, keep an eye on the tablet. You can easily sit for about an hour or so during lunch and keep an eye on things. If you don't get in during the first hour, then chances are the Friday/Saturday badges will be gone anyhow. But if necessary you could sit somewhere else for the second hour while your family goes off and does other things. It's not *that* long, and you'll be with them during lunch.

FWIW, last year we were at Disneyland right before coming to SDCC. They announced that Nerd HQ tickets would go on sale the same day, so DH and I were sitting at lunch at a restaurant with 4 tablets between us, trying to get in. We were also on a cell phone with someone else in a different location, who was trying as well. Only I got in, but I did manage to snag two tickets to Walking Dead. Then a day or so later, we did it again for the Wil and Felicia panel, although we got lucky and managed to get 3 people in. We have a great picture of us sitting at Cafe Orleans with multiple devices in front of us... ;D

Cracksback, I think you're right. 'Spring' came from an earlier email CCI sent out, back when they said that  pre-reg would be in the 'fall'. 'Early 2015' was from a tweet yesterday, IIRC. So it's likely Alyssa is right, and 'early 2015' supersedes the 'spring'.

To be fair, for us San Diego residents "Spring" 2015 IS early 2015.  Winter is week before Christmas - Super Bowl, and everything after that is Spring

Doesn't look like general registration will be February 7.  The Member ID registration has been up and running all weekend and is still up and running as of now (Monday afternoon).  Guess I don't win a prize!

Normally Member ID registration would be temporary shut down one weekend before followed by the badge sale announcement four days in advance.  Looks like it might be either February 14 or 21 with the 21st the most likely date.

I changed my vote to Feb. 21.  Maybe I'll get a second-place prize!

Well it doesn't look like it will be the 7th and it may not be the 14th either because that's the same day as Valentine's, so it may be the 21st, but don't quote me on this!   ;)

In the future, it may not hurt to E-mail SDCC.  I did just that last September when I begged them not to hold pre-reg at the same time the NYCC would take place last Oct. 9-12.  I don't know if they listened to me or even bothered to read my E-mail, but I found out I believe in late September that pre-reg would be held sometime the following November.
