Are you supposed to get an email confirmation after you send in your Pro-application? I had to renew this year and I send it in twice but nothing in return yet... I am getting a little nervous now lol

Did you send the app in via e-mail? If so, I believe you are supposed to get one. However, if you sent it in via regular mail, I don't think CCI sends a confirmation notice (i.e I sent mine in via USPS, and I didn't receive an e-mail confirmation).

My understanding as well.  If you sent via email, you should get a confirmation.  If you mailed it in, then you should have asked for delivery confirmation from USPS or whoever you used to ship it.   I feel pretty comfortable they got my application, now I'm just sweating it out to see if they approve it.

I would reach out to them if you don't get something by Monday.  Your submission should be in your sent folder, so hopefully they would accept that as proof you emailed it by the deadline.  But I'm somewhat thinking it's just taking them a little longer to reply.

I agree with DaveG! Also, be sure to check your spam inbox if you haven't already - sometimes, automatic e-mails from CCI can end up there  :)

Here's an interesting change: it looks like as of today, the pro reg application deadline has been extended:

The Comic-Con International 2017 Professional Application Period is now OPEN! To apply as a professional for Comic-Con 2017, please download the “Comic-Con 2017 Information and Application for Professionals” PDF below.  All applications and verification materials are due by October 10, 2016.

That's odd. Why would they extend the deadline? I don't think it would be due to lack of applications. Perhaps there were complaints that some people were unaware of the original deadline?

Since all applicants should have their submissions in by now, has anyone who applied 4-6 weeks ago heard back from CCI regarding pro status? Yesterday was 3 weeks for me since they received my app, so I won't be expecting an answer on my own until next week at the earliest. Just curious if they have been sticking to that time frame!

In other news, this wait is agonizing...LOL!  ;)

I would advise giving it more time.

A new status has been added to the top of the pro page on CCI's website:

The Comic-Con International 2017 Professional Application Period is now closed. All applications were due by October 10, 2016.  Only applications emailed or postmarked by the date will be processed and reviewed.  Please allow at least 6 weeks for processing.  If you have been approved as a professional, or if your Comic-Con professional verification status is NOT DUE, you will receive information regarding online badge registration in early 2017.

"Please allow at least 6 weeks for processing." --> Guess that answers my question from earlier today!  ;D

I send my application twice by email but never got a receipt, I contacted them and they replied that my application was forwarded to be reviewed so I guess they got it. Now the agonizing wait to find out if approved or not.. Good luck to all you pros out there! :D

They have now had my application in their hands for 41 days.  Tomorrow will make 6 weeks and I've heard nothing back yet, good or bad.  Based on how things went three years ago, I think it took all of 6-8 weeks to get a response.

Sent mine in 5 weeks ago today. Guess it could still be a few weeks until I hear anything. The suspense is killing me.

I know this doesn't help much, but at least you guys aren't press. They typically don't hear until the last minute, well after badge and hotel sales. So it could be worse.

That being said, I know the waiting sucks. *Hugs* to everyone!
