What do you all do at the meetups? What are they like?

Depends on the meetup. Tuesday afternoon (before the con starts) we have a small gathering outside the Hilton Bayfront Starbucks, where people just chat and connect. There are some snacks. Wednesday/PN morning we have a group breakfast at the Broken Yolk, so people order breakfast and chat/connect. Sunday night, we have a dinner (also at the Broken Yolk for 2024) where we relax after con, followed up by the SWAG table. Everyone brings their extra SWAG from the con and we take turns going through it and finding new treasures.

We just chat and get to know each other, One is breakfast and the other a dinner (and swag trade).  It's probably a little awkward at first for anyone, chatting here and then say hi in person helps that.

I love this!!! SWAG table! Sounds like a lot of fun and good connecting! Would love to join. Walking distance from the Convention Center is a pizza place called Prince St. Pizza. I discovered it at the Con last year. It is easily one of the best pizza places in SD.

Yes, the swag trade is a highlight for many. It's fun to see everyone leaving with new treasures.

Best part of the Wed meetup is the Iron Man Omelet Challenge.

That was an interesting watch!  Made me hungry for a much smaller portion.  Must be fun to see in person.

I feel like there was a time I could’ve made a good attempt. Maybe not the whole omelette, but I could’ve gone through at least half of it. But those days are loooooong behind me. And I’m getting a bit nauseated just thinking about doing it.
