Yes! I will give anything created by Dean Devlin(Stargate the movie) and Jonathan Glassner(Stargate SG1), a try! Even though it is on the SYFY channel.

It will also be streaming on Peacock, if that makes it better for you. ;)

Saw the first episode. Feeling a "Battlestar Galactica" vibe. I guess no one over 35 was allowed on the Ark. The exterior ship CGI looks good, but the interior looks 70s bargain basement. It's good enough to keep watching. For now.

To be fair, these people are expected to colonize a planet and have children once they're there. They would want people in their 30s or younger.

I watched it also and there were older people to help guide the young, however, that portion of the ship was lost.  Don't worry about missing it though, it was one sentence in the show.  It reminded me of the movie Thank You for Smoking where they talk about you can fix anything in a movie with just one line.

After watching the first episode a few times, I will say that there is plenty of room for development.  I would wish for more, uhmmm, mature in age characters.  Maybe there will be some discovered...somewhere. Devlin and Glassner have previously paired on 'The Outpost', which also had a bit of a shaky start.  That show went on to have a nice run and completed the main storyline even.  I will stick with The Ark for the initial 12 episode run and see what happens.  If you like, I have created a FB group for discussion of the series.  Come join us.  You are not allowed to view links. I'm getting more and more interested in this show with each episode, particularly since we learned that the Trusts were aboard.

Here is my writeup from the WonderCon panel.

I will let you know if I hear about The Ark doing anything at SDCC. I hope that they will be there ! It was clear from the WonderCon panel that the show already has a dedicated following (not sure how large, but definitely dedicated). I think that it has the potential to really do well at SDCC and potentially expand its audience.

One thing I asked Dean and Jonathan was whether or not we would learn more about what is happening on Earth. I think that it would make a fascinating story: how does humanity behave when they know that the lifetime of the planet is quite possibly shorter than their own? Dean and Jonathan agreed, but also stated that it would likely delve more into the 'darker' sci-fi, which was not their focus. The audience will only know what is happening on Earth as the Ark 1 crew learns about such things.
