So that new Picard series is officially and aptly named Picard.

Interesting tidbit:

Quote
Not a ton is out there yet about the show’s plot, other than the fact it concerns the aftermath of the destruction of the planet Romulus, which we saw in J.J. Abrams‘ 2009 Star Trek.

I'm excited for this series even though it's still in the early developmental stages (and  truthfully, there hasn't been a new series that I have been anticipating in a long while, ha ha).  Really looking forward to seeing Patrick Stewart take up the character again. ^__^

I wonder how many people associate Sir Stewart as Xavier rather than Picard. I figure it'd be a generational thing, as Picard ran from 1987-2002, and Xavier from 2000-2017.

I remember after Star Trek (2009) came out, a bunch of fans were upset because they thought the movie effectively ended and negated the Prime universe (ie, it ceased to exist and none of it ever happened because Nero went back in time and mucked things up). There may have been other things to be upset about regarding Abramsverse, but that was by far the least (and stupidest) of it.

I really do want Q to make one last appearance. Yes, John de Lancie is old now, but young-again CG has come a long way, or they can play it off as "I look as old as you, Picard, to make you feel better".

They should have titled the series - "The Picard"  :)
It is 2024, and I am still asking...where's my flyin' car??!! @fannishmarcia

All I know is we better get at least one great Picard facepalm. Updates to Picard memes should be obtained or this show fails lol
Fun isn’t something one considers when preparing for Comic-Con, but attending does put a smile on my face

Just finished watching S3 and I think this was the best out of the bunch.  Granted, all 3 seasons were, like, totally different than each other, but this final one was, I thought, a great homage to ST:TNG.

Now, the more important question: Where can I get one of those leather Starfleet jackets the main characters had?  I want!

OMG it was such a great season and send off for the TNG cast. I am really hoping they do the Star Trek Legacy show.

And for the jacket Hero Within posted that they are making one on Twitter.

It was great.  It was the best season of TNG in decades.

Mods, perhaps we should put a spoiler tag on this thread.  Until then.

I though the first season was just ok, and the second season was awful. This season was great . I got misty eyed when the whole crew was sitting around the table and when they showed the Enterprise D. I hope they end it here as far as the original TNG crew because it would be hard to top this. I am looking forward to a new series with Captain Seven of Nine. Maybe some DS9 or other Voyager crew could show up.
