Come learn the ways of the Jedi!  Join Saber Guild: Empire Temple as they teach fundamental lightsaber skills for younglings.  Learn the ways of the force and help us protect the galaxy. (Kids ages 6-12).



12:30 PM - 01:30 PM Blast a Trooper
Location: Family HQ
Think you have better aim than a stormtrooper?  For a small charity donation, you can come find out!



01:00 PM - 02:00 PM Galactic Tales
Location: Family HQ
Come join the Jedi (or maybe the Sith!) as they read aloud tales from a galaxy far, far away!



02:00 PM - 03:00 PM Kids Cosplay Showcase
Location: Family HQ
Calling all kids 12 and under! Come show off your super awesome costume in the Kids Costume Showcase taking place in the Family HQ. Please arrive 10 minutes prior to the event since space is limited and is not guaranteed.



02:30 PM - 03:30 PM Ondine - A Queer Fairy Tale Puppet Show
Location: Family HQ
An interactive LGBTQIA+ inclusive fairy tale puppet play. Families and puppet enthusiasts can come play along with ONDINE, a water sprite, as he falls in love with a knight errant. This engaging style of live performance, reliant on audience participation, is currently touring Pride celebrations and Renaissance festivals around Kansas. Packed with laughs and lessons in emotional intelligence, ONDINE is a joyful tribute to live theatre and fun for all ages!

Location: Family HQ
An interactive LGBTQIA+ inclusive fairy tale puppet play. Broken into 3 acts throughout Sunday’s family day families and puppet enthusiasts can come play along with ONDINE a water sprite as he falls in love with a knight errant. This engaging style of live performance reliant on child volunteers plucked from the audience is currently touring Pride celebrations and Renaissance festivals around Kansas. With 3 20-min acts all stuffed with laughs and lessons in emotional intelligence ONDINE is a joyful tribute to live theatre and fun for all ages! Attendants at each act will be eligible to win a free LGBTQIA+ children’s book; BEAUTY SLEEPING by Brett Crandall.

02:30 PM - 03:30 PM Go tell the Bees: Dances from Outlander
Location: Family HQ
Outlander spans both space and time and Jamie and Claire themselves move between Scotland France and the new world. Join us for a selection of dances that they would have danced from all three countries along with a little history for good measure. No experience necessary!



04:00 PM - 05:00 PM C1 Comics, Creation Station: Cartooning Drawing Workshop
Location: Family HQ
Creation Station Workshop – An interactive workshop where participants draw, write and create stories together. Here the family is the Participant team. Inside each group we will attempt to identify the ideal person, the writer, the illustrator, and/or the costume designer. Existing workshops designed by the staff of Creative One Arts like Capt. Creation (Ed Mouzon) and his Creation Station workshop can be used as well as the opportunity for participants to submit workshop suggestions.

Description: Our focus is to introduce young artists to cartooning through their own original drawings. We will teach basic anatomy and cartoon layouts. We will work with young artists to create cool superheroes to match their wonderful powers. The kids will make up costume designs and learn how to draw them. At the completion of the class, the kids will have a basic character they can place into a fun story and have loads of fun with.

Join Random House Graphic creators John Gallagher (Max Meow), Liz Montague (Maybe An Artist, A Graphic Memoir), Matthew Holm (The BIG Adventures of Babymouse), and Mark Siegel (5 Worlds) as they bring your ideas to life in this unmissable live draw-off. Moderated by Colleen AF Venable (Katie the Catsitter).

Has Bridgerton left you a little hot around the collar for Regency ballrooms (and libraries)? Dancers of all experience levels are invited to learn some of the beautiful dances of the Regency. No experience necessary all steps and dances will be taught along with some insight into the ballrooms of the period.
