I don’t know about C2E2, but studios and networks usually don’t attend ECCC or do any promotional work there.
I don't think they normally do too many events anywhere in Nov/Dec....it will be interesting to see how it plays out.

Ok thanks.

So I guess it remains to be seen if CC Special Edition will be at least like a smaller version of that, because so far no panel has been announced.

Even regular SDCC doesn’t announce panels until 2 weeks before the show.

Yes, but we know most of it long before they announce.  Sometimes even months in advance.

Eh, I wouldn't quite go that far. Many studios do announce what they intend to bring before SDCC announces the schedule, but it's definitely not "most of it long before they announce." We get some of it long before they announce, and more keeps on coming (but I still don't think it quite reaches "most," though I guess that could be splitting hairs) as we get closer to the event.

I do expect us to see some studio panels once the schedule is released. Am I expecting to be surprised with a full fledged Comic-Con, absolutely not.

I will say no, but you never know nowadays…

It has been a little too quiet lately getting any CCSE updates.

That's a different type of show, so I'm guessing it doesn't affect us.  And I think they're using the covid procedures as an excuse when it's probably really the chip shortage that's a bigger problem for them.

Does anyone in San Diego know if any other conventions have been canceled?

Just take a peak at Denver Fan Expo and set your expectations there.  If you do that you will think CCSE is the best con ever  :P

I could be wrong...but I feel like some of those celebrity guests at Denver may be bigger than whats at CCSE....

I remember when they announced that a few days ago.  It's not covid related.  It's because there aren't enough cars in inventory to show.  No cars mean no car show.  I don't think that Tukeycon is reliant on the inventory of new cars.

I just got this from Adult Swim, "This November, prepare yourself for never-before-seen music and comedy sets, plus watch parties and panels".  Does this mean they will be at Turkeycon?

I got an email today from them about a November 12-13 virtual event.

Sounds more like a supply-chain issue.
