Did anyone attend a volunteer event?

I went to the museum today for opening day.  As expected, there weren't that many people there.  I knew that looking at the ticket sales.  There weren't many tickets sold.  I think the volunteers outnumbered the visitors.

It looks good.  I think they did a great job using the existing space.  About the only change is that the cafe is now gone.  When I was there the cardboard guys were being interviewed.  They have a big exhibit.  The most crowded space was the craft space upstairs for kids.  That was well attended.

The store has a limited selection.  Somethings are the same as the online store like facemasks and pins.  I didn't see any special edition merch. When I was there, someone asked if they had any.  They had an unique comic-con museum grand opening t-shirt.

You must have seen me then :) I was volunteering at the museum at that time and was posted at the Cardboard Superheroes exhibit handing out their pamphlets and answering people's questions. Was happy to get posted there for my volunteer job since my kid LOVES making random gear out of cardboard. I can't wait to see how they utilize all the open space they have to work with in there.

The museum was well worth the visit in my opinion. It was better than I was expecting. I was especially excited to see the immersive experience area. What an excellent use of the space. The kids involved were completely engaged and enthralled by the experience.

I can’t wait to see what’s new when I return in July.

I must have.  Remember the person that refused a pamphlet?  That was me.

It would probably be a good idea to go to a volunteer orientation before trying to sign up for a shift.  There were orientation events this last Friday and Saturday.

I volunteer there, but with work so crazy busy, it's been very difficult. Angel, the volunteer coordinator, is swell. Do the training. Volunteer. Get a free shirt after a few volunteer slots under your belt. Fun things on the horizon!

If you haven't heard, Spider-Man exhibit will be on display from July 1 though the end of the year and then it will become a traveling exhibition.

The museum is looking for volunteers! Even if you aren't local, there are some behind the scenes stuff you could possibly do. Reach out to Angel at [email protected]

I was fortunate to be invited to a walk through of the New Spiderman exhibit. I can't post photo's until Friday ....but...... It's really good!

It brings lots of depth to the character, AMAZING original art pages, multi-media splash presentations and a great gift shop!
