I'm interested in attending but would like to make it into a trip to WDW as well which would increase the expenses.

I saw that Onpeak is handling hotel bookings for this which gives me a really bad feeling about this...

I booked a hotel already using OnPeak. There was no deposit required, not until a month before the event.

I'm just worried that I'll be overdoing it that month. Wondercon and Disneyland one week, then Coachella, then SW Celebration and probably Disney World the week after.  :o

[member=647]frgx[/member] I hope the Coachella tickets don't go on sale the same day, for those seeking the VIP!

[member=819]brand4d2[/member]  I used OnPeak for SWCA, but found a cheaper room outside of Onpeak for D23, so definitely compare rates!

[member=2091]sefton42[/member]  Yeah, our usual hotel is listed for OnPeak, but not for double beds.  I did a tentative single room via the OP, and my friend and his family will be using the direct hotel website for their room, since they can pick a room with a fridge that way!

past SWCA's ticket prices (non-VIP) here  You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

Coachella presale tickets usually go on sale on a Thursday, so I think I'm OK. But they will go on sale this month-- not so good for my credit card.  :-\

hilton orlando (looks like it has a connecting walkway to the convention center) was about $20 cheaper through orbitz for a 2-queen room. also no deposit.

Update: the Hilton Orlando has a walkway going to the EAST convention building, but ive learned that SWC has historically been held in the WEST building. The hyatt regency is closest to the EAST building, but they dont have available rooms on orbitz. may have to wait until more rooms come available direct through hyatts website or other 3rd party booking sites.

SW Celebration 2017 should/will be at the West Concourse.  It had been for Celebration V and VI.  Closest hotels are Rosen Plaza Hotel, Rosen Centre Hotel and Ryatt Regency.  Rosen Plaza and Rosen Centre have connecting pedestrian bridges.  However two years ago during our local comic con, MegaCon, the pedestrian bridge for Rosen Plaza Hotel was closed; unknown if it was temporary or permanent.

The other part of the Convention Center is called the North/South Concourse.  2014 MegaCon was moved there, a BIG mistake.

Thanks.  It looks like the Rosen Hotels are either full or are being saved for some group.  I noticed when going through OnPeak's hotel reservation process, there is a drop-down selection for 'Fan' and another for '501st'.

You said the move MegaCon made was a mistake.  How so?  I am considering going.
