I got an email this morning from OnPeak, I've replied that both rooms are mine, for our group of 7:

Dear Comic-Con 2018 Guest,

Thank you for booking your reservations with onPeak!

Our records indicate that you potentially hold two or more rooms with duplicate or similar names. The name that has been flagged is noted below.

If this is a duplicate, you may be charged a hotel fee or cancellation penalty. If you need to modify one or more of your reservations, please do so by 11 PM ET, Tue, Jun 19.

If this is not a duplicate, please reply to this email to let us know and we will remove it from the list.

Here are two ways you may revise your reservations:

1. Click here to access your reservation online
2. Reply to this email with instructions

Please note: the reservation cancel policies outlined on your confirmation apply to any cancellations.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

We provide this service on behalf of event organizers for the purpose of assisting you with your hotel reservations. Your personal information, and the information of the members of your group if you booked one, will be shared with the event organizer, hotels and other official providers working on behalf of the event organizer. Interesting. Out of curiosity, were either of the rooms with the same exact name or just same last name? Our family hasn't booked two rooms yet (we always stay in a hotel that works for 5 of us), but have considered doing what you do next year.

Thank you for letting us know about this email. I can't believe it's either "it's not me" or cancellation. I hope they realize that there are legitimate reasons for someone to have more than one reservation, even if you didn't do a group block.

This is the email I got a few years back when another room had an attendee with the same (common) name...super stressful, but I got it sorted out in minutes on the phone with them.

These rooms are a "block", I requested 2 rooms from the beginning.  I did change the name assigned, but it was the same name on both before (obviously since they were requested/granted together).  So we'll see what response I get!

You should just make sure all the occupants (roommates) names are different.
You can change them all in the block manager.

Make sure you have the correct number of occupants per room also.

Yes, I changed a room to my daughter's name.  And the numbers are correct.  It's just interesting they flagged it this year but not any previous years since I've always done this.

As with all things CCI and OnPeak, we should expect inconsistency and yet...  we are always surprised lol.  This is certainly strange though.  I once got a similar email because someone with my super common name had a different room.

So I'm part of a room block with 2 reservations, one under my first name and the other one under my middle name. I'm assuming I didn't get an email from OP since they're under two different names but should I be concerned when it comes to time of check-in? My ID has both my first name and middle name but should I call OP or the hotel directly to let them know that both are under the same person?
