I went for the first time since 2013 and was very pleasantly surprised. I touched on this in the best-of topic, but the days when Brian Mariotti primed people to jump up and down on chairs and tables and scream like banshees and passed that off as entertainment are over; instead, that was replaced by actual entertainment for everyone (a big stage in the middle with acrobats, GID jugglers, fashion show, etc.) Prize giveaway was much more equitable (everyone got some prizes prize, every section got a unique prize, and there were some lucky few who got a big prize) rather than them playing favorites and/or throwing boxes into the audience (t-shirts were still thrown, but they hurt a lot less and t-shirts also don't cause entire tables to dive). It was a lot bigger than last time, but infinitely better managed and more enjoyable all around. Major props to Funko for what they've done with it.
