Plus, there will be the "special event" trolley (in addition to the usual ones that operate daily) for Comic-Con, so it'll be more frequent in terms of stops as well.

One quick note for those new to San Diego's trolley system:
Although the trolley map specifies different colors for a specific route, the trolleys are actually all red.  This means that the "Blue Line" cars aren't blue, "Orange Line" isn't orange, etc., so pay attention to the labels on the trolley.

You'll have to read the marquee signs on the trolley cars, which tells you which route it is.  (Basically, it would say something like "Blue Line - San Ysidro" or "Orange Line - Convention Ctr.")   There will be signs designating which direction the trolleys are going at the stations as well, so use that to guide you on your way.

Hope that helps! ^_^/

Yes, if you take the Amtrak to the Santa Fe Depot Amtrak station, you can either take the trolley or a local bus to the convention center.

Check out the Trolley time table for more details: You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login
You can use the Trip Planner to help you with SDMTS public transportation: You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login
(Type in the street addresses or the landmark drop-down menu to plan your route.)

And, yes, you have to pay to use the trolley.
Here's the list of fares (check the top line for the trolley info): You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

You have the option of paying for a one-way pass, buying a day pass (good until midnight), or getting special 1-day, 2-day, 3-day, or 4-day passes that SDMTS sells specifically for Comic-Con.

Check out this web page for more details on the Comic-Con trolley passes: You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

Hope that helps!

There has been no announcement yet as to what CCI will be doing with regards to next year's badge sales. Hopefully we'll find out soon!

Does anybody know how big the shuttles are?  Are they like the vans that fit 12-15 people like the SuperShuttle that takes people to airports or are they buses like the public transportation buses?  Also do they fill up fast meaning would there be a long line for the shuttle in which I may have to wait for a few to pass if they're filled to capacity?  I'm just trying to figure out how easy/difficult it is to board a shuttle from the hotel.

They use full sized motor coaches; however, even those can fill up at prime transportation times, especially if your location is near the end of a particular route.

It's like a tour bus... fits a lot of people! But if you want to leave the COn at the same time as everyone else, the lines to get on are massive!  :-\

Very true, lines for the buses are pretty lengthy at 7pm when the exhibit hall closes

Something tells me I should have picked a Mission Valley hotel.
