Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the area they had at Moscone is smaller than Anaheim.

I believe that is correct.  I think that the Anaheim floorspace used for 2012 was 10% to 15% larger than Moscone.  I had counted the number of booth spaces for both at the time.

In 2011, Saturday sold out.  AFAIK that was the only year any day had.

Do you know when it sold out? I recall still being able to get badges the week of - maybe it was a few days before or day of?

Let's hope the set up is a bit better this year - lots of wandering trying to figure out where some of the panel rooms were. The exhibit floor was great though - wide open aisles to walk w/o feeling like in a mosh pit and still plenty of room for the exhibitors.
...you had me at hello...

I remember that the week before the 2011 show, they posted on their Wondercon registration page that they would not be selling Saturday passes at the door and that people would have to purchase them online only.

They did not do the same thing for 2012.

It only overlaps on the 29th  ;D If its any consolation I'd much rather go to GDC than wondercon if given the chance
One of my friend is presenting his game and he's having a booth at GDC. I hope to get a ticket for there.
I guess I might do a short wondercon.

The argument can easily be made that I have too much free time on my hands...   :)

I remember wanting to know if the show got bigger or smaller with the change from SF to Anaheim and google wasn't giving me nuthin', so I printed up the exhibit hall maps and started counting.

I wonder what the "very large city wide event" could possibly be?  Anyone from the area care to speculate?
GDC i guess. If they are speaking for the March dates

I was referring to the fall (Octoberish 2013?) which CCI referred to in their announcement that they were not coming to San Francisco for 2013.  Here's the link:

Someone already suggested it might be the Folsom Street Fair...
