Title: Sergio and Mark Show, Room 8, 2:00-3:00
Post by: alyssa on June 28, 2012, 12:04:18 PM
2:00-3:00 The Sergio and Mark Show- An annual Comic-Con tradition! The folks who give you Groo the Wanderer on occasion will tell what's up with Groo and their other projects and will entertain you with glorious anecdotes and silly stories. Those folks are celebrated cartoonist Sergio Aragonés, his co-conspirator Mark Evanier,  Usagi Yojimbo creator Stan Sakai, and the hardest-working man in comics, Tom Luth. Room 8

I have always heard this was a great, nice, friendly panel, with the 3 nicest people in comics, Stan, Sergio and Mark.

My son wants to see another panel at the same time...<scheming>

I've been to a few of these. They're nice, but not much to interest kids. My DD starts pulling out her book halfway through (and she's a Sergio Aragones fan). Basically they all chat about what they're doing career-wise and throw in a couple of humorous stories. No need to arrive super-early. You can usually walk into this one 15 minutes in advance (unless there's something major going on afterward in the same room).

Not evil! Just be sure to arrange a time and place to meet up afterward.

My DD started middle school this past year. She got a digital watch and was responsible for getting herself to and from classes (all in different rooms/buildings) on time. She matured so much this past year, and is responsible enough now to get herself around. I feel comfortable letting her do these things as long as it's a relatively safe environment. Your DS is a year older than my DD, so I suspect he'd be just fine at Blizzard.

DD = Darling Daughter

(DH = Darling Husband, DW = Darling Wife, DS = Darling Son)

These are standard internet acronyms amongst the 'Mom' crowds. ;)

Oh man, that looks awesome! But $150? Ouch! I can't stomach that.
