@dogberry: Ah, the Iron Man shirt looks cool.  Hope you get in time for SDCCI!  Ha ha.

As for me, I think the 'geekiest' thing I've ever bought would have to be a few bottles of the Final Fantasy XII premium potions... mainly because it looked really cool.  I haven't even opened it up yet to see what it tastes like.  (Though I've tried another one before, ha ha.  It was kind of citrus-tasting. *laughs*)

I love Thinkgeek! They have the coolest items! Sometimes they are exclusive and you have to buy through them. Other times you can get the item elsewhere if you look. So I always check and see if the item is on Amazon before buying there. You guys are right that their shipping is really high.

I got this from Think Geek last Christmas for my son. He loved it! It actually has a motion sensor and speaks to you (and shoots at you) when you walk into the room!

I want this!

On a side note: Portal 2 is a great game.  Even if you are not a gamer, you'll love this game.

WANT!

On a side note, Portal 2 is one of the best games I've ever played.  Highly recommended.

So... I may get kicked out of here for asking, but... if they're framed, how do you read them? At least... don't you *want* to read them?

Two ways: I usually buy a 2nd copy to frame to avoid that issue.   But I also have them in the type of frames that I can take them out of whenever I want to read or change out the books.

That's why I could never do CGC, I would rip the slabs open to read the books.  :)  Just kidding.

That's awesome.  I have a friend who frames any guest autographs or sketches she gets from cons.  +_+ Some of them are colored.  So cool.

So I was going through some things and came across this last night... It was a button I had purchased at a Star Trek Convention years ago. Homemade, and it says Il est mort Jean-Luc.

If that's not geeky, I don't know what is!

Thank you.

One of my coworkers was making fun of Nicholas Cage and said, “Can you believe that weirdo has 100 framed comic books on his walls?”

To which I responded, “So what?  I’ve got 29.”

Needless to say the conversation was a little awkward after that.  :)

Chris-I had a similar awkward moment like that. My friend was complaining that her 17 year old still plays with Legos. I had a weird look on my face, and she asked me what was wrong. I told her that I had put together a Lego set Naboo fighter that weekend. She just laughed and said she felt better now. We had a nice giggle about it after that.

That’s why I like hanging out here-we don’t judge each other for our nerdy pastimes.

LEGOs?   CoooooOOOOOOOOooooooolllll!   I still regret having gotten rid of my childhood space LEGOs.  They were so cool.

Legos are awesome! Anyone who doubts that Legos are for adults hasn't seen those collectors lego sets that retail for $1,000 on up!

A few years ago at SDCC I went to a cool panel about adult Lego builders. There were some people there with awesome projects!
