If anyone needs a Saturday hotel and wants to book the Anaheim Marriott hotel, hotels.com has the Saturday night for the hotel priced at $159 which seems to be lower than Wondercon's rate oddly enough. I just booked mine for Sat night.

Sorry if this was previously mentioned, but has anyone received their badges? I purchased mine when they initially went on sale months ago, but haven't heard anything since.

I don't know for sure, but since the deadline to change your mailing address was yesterday, I'd assume they're starting the shipping process today.

COMIC-CON INTERNATIONAL... is definitely and absolutely on the horizon, the same sort of horizon that, in a comic book or blockbuster film, might bear the vision of a shimmery spaceship or unusual alien moon. Horizons, in short, are important in the stories that fill our favorite television shows and movies and graphic novels, because, so often, the characters we love our gazing out into the distance, searching for what they'll soon face. But mavens of popular culture, and intricate storytelling, and fabulous costuming, and adventuresome cosplay only need gaze into the nearer horizon, and not quite as far as Comic-Con, to see another major happening: WonderCon, in Anaheim. Yep, this convention was formerly in San Francisco, and, indeed, it is in the Comic-Con International family. But calling it prep for the Julytime San Diego jamboree isn't nearly the whole story, given that WonderCon has long been on the colossal, cram-in-lots-of-cool-stuff side of things, as it should be, of course. It's been delivering all sorts of pop culture delights for three decades. The 2017 dates are...

MARCH 31 THROUGH APRIL 2, the list of special guests has filled out (hello to the legendary Sergio Aragonés and Mark Evanier), there shall be the beloved, gussy-up Masquerade, as is tradition, and oodles of vendors, too. If you need fresh comic books, new toys, new tees, new action figures, or to replace an old favorite (a book you loaned out to a pal and never got back), WonderCon has a way of having what fans are seeking. Badges are on sale, artist Michael Cho's retro-tastic t-shirt and cover art is live and the whole shebang is just a few weeks out. Have your room in Anaheim? This is, after all, right around spring break, when Disneyland Resort is humming. Best book what you have to book, then get to work on that Masquerade costume, the one you meant to start sewing in November. You have time, but go, go, go.

WONDERCON 2017 TOUCAN TIP OF THE DAY! #01: Get Ready for WonderCon Anaheim 2017!

It’s the first day of March, which means we are now just 30 days away from the start of WonderCon Anaheim 2017, March 31—April 2 at the Anaheim Convention Center! We’re back in Anaheim, and we’re excited for what’s shaping up to be another great show!

2017 marks the 31st year for WonderCon. Since its small beginnings in 1987 in the Bay Area, WonderCon has grown to become one of the most popular comics and pop culture events in the country. As the sister show to Comic-Con International in San Diego (and hosted by the same team who produces that event), WonderCon Anaheim brings together comics creators, authors, artists, filmmakers, stars, and many other creative people from the popular arts for a fun-filled weekend. This year, for the first time in many years, WonderCon is not positioned on Easter weekend, but we are smack-dab in the middle of spring break for some of you, so we hope you’ll take advantage of your time off and the usually beautiful Southern California weather (but no guarantees on that!), and join us for this amazing weekend. For attendees, WonderCon offers a unique chance to interact with fan-favorite writers and artists and to meet other fans, see some of the best the comics world has to offer, and also get a peek behind-the-scenes at some top TV shows and upcoming movies.

We’ll be running daily tips from now until March 30 that will help you better plan for your visit to WonderCon Anaheim 2017. Check back each day for a new tip and start making your plans NOW. Badges and hotel rooms are still available, but they’re going fast; click on the links below for more information. We hope to see you at WonderCon Anaheim 2017, just 30 short days away!

Badges are available online only and will not be sold onsite at the Anaheim Convention Center.

Looks pretty much just like the last time it was in Anaheim. Very familiar floor to those of us who were used to Anaheim.

WONDERCON 2017 TOUCAN TIP OF THE DAY! #03: WCA Exhibit Hall Do’s and Don’ts

With the announcement yesterday of our WonderCon Anaheim 2017 exhibitors and the Exhibit Hall map, we’d like to take this opportunity to remind you of some very important “do’s and don’ts” to follow while you’re visiting the Exhibit Hall at this year’s event.

WonderCon’s 2017 Exhibit Hall is bigger than ever before, with over 900 total exhibitors (including Artists’ Alley and the Small Press Area). This year’s WonderCon encompasses ALL of the Anaheim exhibit space on the ground floor (Halls A through D, with most of A and all of B and C dedicated to exhibits, with D and a portion of A used for registration and lines). With a space that size, you’re going to experience crowd issues. Here are some tips to help you better understand and navigate this massive space. Please keep in mind that SAFETY is our major priority. Following these tips will help us have a safe and fun convention.

No Running

There is absolutely no running anywhere at WonderCon. That includes the programming rooms, the lobbies, outside the Anaheim Convention Center, and in the Exhibit Hall at all times, but especially in the morning when we first open the hall. We understand that you want to get to your favorite booth (or program or anime screening or food truck) right away, but running is a safety hazard for EVERYONE, not just you. People caught running may have their badges taken away from them and may be ejected from the convention. Don’t run … it’s not worth it!

Please Keep to Your Right

A simple way to easily move through the Exhibit Hall is to follow one simple rule: please keep to your right.  While this isn’t imperative in areas where there is no aisle congestion, in crowded areas of the hall having the traffic flowing easily on both sides of the aisle can prevent bottlenecks and potential safety hazards. If you hear a Floor Manager asking you to “Please keep to your right,” we would very much appreciate your cooperation!

Do Not Sit in the Aisles

You may notice some large open areas around the pillars in the Exhibit Hall. These areas have to remain clear by order of the fire marshal. Please don't sit or block these locations, or in any of the aisles in the Exhibit Hall. Only sit in designated lounge areas (check the Exhibit Hall map in the center of the WonderCon Anaheim 2017 Program Book or click here to see it online), near the food concession areas throughout the hall, by the Author Signing Are in Hall A, and by Games at the back of Hall C.

No Doublewide Strollers or Rolling Carts in the Exhibit Hall

We know you want to bring the wee ones with you to WonderCon Anaheim, but due to safety reasons, we cannot allow doublewide strollers in the Exhibit Hall. We will have stroller parking at the Anaheim Convention Center; location information will be available as we get closer to the event. We also don’t allow rolling carts in the Exhibit Hall. Please don’t bring them.

Snap That Photo Fast … and Keep the Aisles Clear so People Can Move

If you’re going to stop and have a Kodak moment, make it fast. There are hundreds of people around you, all of them trying to go somewhere, so stopping to take a photo and clogging up the aisles is a bad idea. Be aware of the people around you, especially behind you, when you stop to snap that photo and do it fast and step out of the way. There are 3 WonderCon Anaheim Photo Areas with backdrop featuring our logo … see the Exhibit Hall map for exact locations.

Pay Attention to the Aisle Signs

They’re above every aisle, hanging from the rafters. So when you spot that item you want to comparison shop, mark down the aisle marker number and whether it’s in the front, middle, or back of the hall. It makes it so much easier to find again. You can also compare the aisle signs to the Exhibit Hall map in your Program Book (and mark it with a pen) or on the official Comic-Con app, which will be updated before the show.

The Fastest Way to Anywhere Is the Lobby

In a hurry to get to the other end of the Exhibit Hall? Don’t go through the crowds inside the Exhibit Hall, walk out into the lobby and stroll on down to the other end’s doors and enter there. And if you get lost, it’s the best place to get your bearings.

No Retail Sales Unless Exhibit Space Has Been Purchased

No retail sales are allowed anywhere in WonderCon Anaheim unless you purchased or were allocated exhibit space. This includes the Exhibit Hall, common areas such as lobbies, program rooms, and outside venues, such as the Anaheim Convention Center grounds, our headquarters hotel, the Hilton Anaheim and any other convention sites. Retail sales are strictly limited to the exhibitors in the WonderCon Anaheim Exhibit Hall.

Badges are available online only and will not be sold onsite at the Anaheim Convention Center.

A Reminder to All Colonies of Kobol: WonderCon Anaheim 2017 Badges Begin Shipping Soon!

The Quorum of the Twelve doesn’t want you to forget about how we are shipping badges this year! If you purchased a WonderCon Anaheim attendee badge prior to February 27, 2017, your badge will be mailed to you in advance! Your badge will be shipped to the address on file in your Comic-Con Member ID account as of February 27, 2017. The deadline to change your address was February 27, 2017. Comic-Con International is unable to accept address changes after this date.

Badges (for those who purchased by February 27) will begin shipping at least 2 - 3 weeks prior to March 31, 2017. Badges will be shipped in batches, so please do not be alarmed if a friend, family member, or Viper Pilot receives their badge before/after you! Badges not delivered for any reason (lost/stolen/destroyed by Cylons) must be picked up onsite at the Attendee Registration Area in Hall D.

As a reminder, we are shipping badges directly to the attendee associated with that badge, instead of the buyer. For example, Katee Sackhoff paid for her badges, your badges, and Edward James Olmos’ badges. Katee’s badge will be shipped to her, your badge will be shipped to you, and Edward’s badge will be shipped to him. However, international attendees will still pick up their badges onsite.

If you purchase your badge after February 27, 2017, or are an international attendee, you will be able to pick up your badge onsite at the Attendee Registration Area in Hall D. You may pick up your badge during the following hours:

Thursday, March 30: 12:00 PM — 7:00 PM
Friday, March 31: 10:30 AM — 7:00 PM
Saturday, April 1: 8:30 AM — 7:00 PM
Sunday, April 2: 8:30 AM — 5:00 PM

As always, children age 12 and under are free with a paying adult! You may register a child onsite for free at the Attendee Registration Area in Hall D. For more information about our child badge policy, click here (You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login)!

We look forward to seeing you soon! Thank you for your continued support. So say we all!
