They're doing The Stand again? I hope this time it's a good version... the last one was just meh.

Agreed.  The real tragedy is the original softback printing I had as a kid in the early 80's (that I got from my parents - maybe one of the first edition paperbacks) had the "soon to be a major motion picture DIRECTED BY GEORGE ROMERO."  Romero & King go way back and they had tried to make a film version of "The Stand" for maybe a decade and it just never happened.  I'm not sure a condensed feature film version of "The Stand" would work great (and that was the problem that torpedoed the film: they couldn't figure out how to either get it down to 2ish hours), but damn I would _LOVE_ to have seen a Romero-directed THE STAND.

And if you have the book that old, you have the original version, rather than the 'updated for the times' version King released later on...

Yeah, I got the 'updated' Author's Cut or whatever it was called too.  I'm a sucker that way (or at least I used to be - I haven't picked up a new King book in years).  IIRC the Extended version of "The Stand" came out when I was in HS.  I think it had the original cover, with the person in white w/a sword fighting a crow-like character in black who has an ax or something.  The paperback version I originally had (which was my mom's that I borrowed/stole) was a dusk/nighttime setting of a distant horizon, with a light in the foreground (like the lights of Vegas emanating from miles away in the Nevada desert), with a face on the horizon that's part man/part bird.

Realizing that this is a bit of a remote possibility: I would love to see a panel celebrating the 20th anniversary of the miniseries, The 10th Kingdom. Written by Simon Moore, this is a truly fun miniseries, that gets little attention.  John Larroquette, Kimberly Williams Paisley, Scott Cohen and so many more...including Anne Margaret as Cinderella.  Yes!
It is 2024, and I am still asking...where's my flyin' car??!! @fannishmarcia

I know Hulu makes a splash at SDCC, so I hope they splash with something from The Orville. Their offsite last year was my favorite event.

Agreed! Season 3 is supposed to come out this fall, so it would be perfect timing!

It will be interesting to see how they handle Hulu and FX now that those brands are intertwined. I hope FX continues to have a strong presence with panels and off-sites.

I don't know if guests in announced waves have any weight given to them, but with Felicia Day being an announced guest in the announced waves, I think it would be cool if they were announcing a sequel to Dr. Horrible's Sing-a-Long Blog.

It's early, I know, but it's fun to speculate to what could be at 2020 SDCC. What TV Shows / Movies do you think will be attending next year?

I'm hoping for:

Bill & Ted Face the Music

Stranger Things

10 year anniversary - Scott Pilgrim

MCU

Would love all of these.
