Sunday, Feb 19, 2017 12:00PMComic Cons and the Future of Fandom (Palm A)If you've been to conventions other than Comic Fest, you might notice that these events are changing dramatically, becoming bigger, more diverse, and focused on a wider swath of popular culture. Rob Salkowitz (Comic-Con and the Business of Pop Culture, Forbes) has been sifting through the data and presents an eye-opening picture of what's going on. Then, he'll be joined by special guest David Glanzer (VP of Marketing and Strategy, Comic-Con International) for a rare inside look at the challenges and opportunities of growth in the fan convention space. anyone planing on going to this? I'd ***LOVE*** to hear what was said! Please, please reach out- we can talk an easy way to get you set up to record it!eta: just audio- it's much easier & takes up way less space
If someone could do a back issue comic vendor booth count for me, that would be great. I went to this show the first 2 years and it was only 5 of those booths each time, so I never went back given the ~$20 admission fee.I'm the dollar bins shopper. . By the pound also works (which is equivalent to quarter bins, by the way.)

Hi Chris!Sorry for the late reply! I managed to visit the Exhibit Hall yesterday (more like a room :P) to visit my buddy, artist Eric Ninaltowski's booth and I counted about 10 comic book vendors.
