Gotcha.  Anyone find any other hotels that we can start booking now?

Hotels in Mission Valley should be available. I think the Marriott there has rooms open.

I just did a quick search on hotels.com for rooms close to the convention center. I used the Tuesday before the Con to the Tuesday after the Con  as my search dates. What I found makes the Hyatt rates look truly awesome!

Already have 2013 lodging locked up. Got to love a family timeshare for free lodging for a week at SDCC.

I agree, that's certainly a good week to have!

So it seems the Double beds and the Junior Suites are no longer available from July 13 to 21. Price for a king bed is $245.25 a night which is still a little lower than travel planner. ADA rooms still available for $229.
Best part of San Diego Comic Con 2012 was waiting for My Little Pony Durpy Hooves for 6 hours with about 6 other fathers all getting them for their daughters.

I'm wondering if anyone can book an ADA room? Or are they going to ask for medical confirmation when you get there? I know some hotels build all/the majority/a significant percentage of their rooms to ADA standards but they are usually not all filled with people who require those measures.

Sent from my AT100 using Tapatalk 2

I just checked the place we stayed at and it seems to be the same, about $121 per night.

What dates were you checking, Brian? I got $229 per night.

Honestly, I don't remember. I think it was Tuesday to Tuesday. Not a big deal though, I like staying outside of San Diego.

Just got Manchester from 13 thru the 22 but I do not want that many days the lady said If you call later and cancel some days you will get the rate which as right now $459 a day for minimum of 6 days or $900 a night for 3 days between 7-19 & 22. Is this true????? Anyone have this issue before. If thats the case it will be worth the 9 days but dang 9 days is excessive.

I have a question, it seems like all the very close hotels like the Omni, Hiltons, Hard Rock, ect. are not available. Is that because they've sold out already or because they are part of the Comic-Con dealio and wont be available until spring?

If they're sold out already, that's pretty extreme!  I'd like to believe they're blocked off for Travel Planners, but I doubt it.

They're blocked off for the hotel sale in the spring.

I also think CCI will do the advanced sale again like last year.

They'll now be blocked off by CCI, via Travel Planners and will be allocated by Waiting Room system (as held for SDCC2012), prior to the Con next year.
