Even though nobody responded, here's a picture from Saturday of me and Deep Roy. The con was awesome!

How is it size wise?

(wow awkward question)

I mean, how big was it?

(okay now it's just weird)

How 'bout a review of it? What stood out? What'd you like? How was it?
...you had me at hello...

Bahaha! It was awesome. It's not huge, we got through the bulk of it in a few hours, but it was a lot of fun. I got Nichelle Nichols' autograph, and there were some great vendors. Also a strong showing of the 501st and other cosplayers. It was quite busy, there was a line wrapping around the outside to get in all day (it was moving at a good clip though). The panel selection was 'ok', there was only one I was really interested in the day we were there and we missed it because I was distracted by some coworkers I ran into. I definitely think we'll go again next year.

Sounds like you had a blast!  You even got Nichelle Nichols's autograph, so that's awesome.

Did you get any more cool photos?

We didn't take very many, but here's a few:

The primary floor of the con.

Nichelle Nichols signing a picture for me (My husband snuck this even though he wasn't supposed to. Don't worry, I punched him)

Not sure exactly, but muppet storm troopers?

Also, Vader got my husband.

Thanks for posting them up, Abunai!  I really like the Muppet Clone troopers and Darth Vader using the force.

Were there any cool panels that peaked your interest at the Motor City Comic Con?

There were a few, but unfortunately we didn't get to see any of them. There was a talk by Dwight Schultz on Friday, but I was stuck at work. And on Saturday there was a 'cult classics' forum featuring the actors from the Boondock Saints, Twin Peaks, Donny Darko and Rocky Horror, but that was the one we missed getting to because I got stuck talking to coworkers (when your company VP shows up and gives you a hug and wants to talk shop, it's hard to run away!).

Aw, I'm sorry that you didn't get a chance to go to any panels.  I think the cult classics one would have been really interesting!  (It's such a dilemma when you're trapped at work and you have some place to go!  >_<)

I bet you were able to get some awesome merchandise at the Exhibit Hall though. ^_~

I find an article about the Motor City Comic Con if anyone is interested in reading:

It definitely brings about a certain image reminiscent of a certain convention in the middle of July in San Diego, where many people wait in distinctly long lines for long periods of time to enter into a specific panel room and deal with the horrendous odors of the Exhibit Hall... ;p  (Was that a roundabout way to reference it, or what?  Ha ha.)

This is a month late! I was there and was shocked that there was a huge line to get tickets. I will purchase the advance tickets next year.
