Big Bang Theory finale
« on: May 17, 2019, 06:17:30 AM »
I really enjoyed the BBT finale.... this season had been a bit "weak" in my opinion... but, I loved the finale. Made me literally laugh out loud and I teared up a bit at the end.
I also thought the tie in at the end of Young Sheldon was a really nice touch.

This is the other season finale happening this week.  I religiously watched BBT for the first few years.  Then I stopped.  Then I started again a couple of years ago and got all caught up.  I'll miss it.  The season finale was just like another episode until the very end.  It didn't really hit me it was over until I watched the special behind the scenes of BBT with Kaley and Johnny after the finale.  Then I got sad.  They really are a lot like the characters they play.

I enjoyed it very much, but felt sad that Raj didn’t really get a character wrap up. Everyone else completed character arcs, except Raj.

I really loved the character of Raj..... and was surprised that they left his arc dangling.... and was a bit disappointed that they never told us Penny's last name.

I like Raj too.  But as I do, I read review of a show after I watch the show.  I was surprised to see so many reviewers criticize Raj.  Many called him their least favorite character.  I also didn't realize that the character was controversial.

I enjoyed it.  Raj has his self-made family and a dog so he is good.  Don't worry about him.

[member=6586]chocolateshake[/member] - Raj- controversial?  I never thought of that during the entire run of the series.  Guess I will have to check that out, unless you feel comfortable giving me an idea of the controversy here.  :-\

The controversy is that he is a caricature of Indian stereotypes.  But when all is said and done, every character in the Big Bang Theory is a caricature.  I'm not sure that in today's environment, that it could be made now as a new show.
