Could you imagine if the owner/president of onpeak ever reading this forum lol.  Would probably bring them to tears.

I wonder if they're just struggling to finish up some last minute assignments. Maybe for round 1, they know there is always round 2 so once it looks "good enough", they send out the first batch of emails?   ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Because it's not a true SDCC experience if it doesn't cause sky-high stress/anxiety.

Or make them laugh hysterically, and brighten their day.

I occasionally feel bad about all the OnPeak bashing I do. And then I remember that they have access to communicate via Twitter, and Facebook, and press releases, and the ability to actually train their customer service reps and provide them with detailed and accurate information! They have shown zero inclination to do any of these things!

So... I have nothing but ill-wishes for OnPeak.

Good luck to everyone waiting on something this round.

As for OnPeak, I try not to bash them too hard.  I don't think they're a complete disaster (I'm sure things could be much worse for something of this magnitude) and the couple of times I've had to call them, their customer service reps have been very nice and professional.

I still think they schedule things around doing the least amount of work possible.

Sending out e-mails at Noon last week, CSR could always tell people who didn't get assigned "Wave 2 goes out next week!".

This week, if people don't get e-mails, CSR say "good luck with the waitlist", which is a very different phone call...

So, if they wait until they only have an hour or so on the clock... they have less to deal with.

I have a lot of sympathy for the CSRs, I'm sure this is a hard and thankless job. But the fact remains that 75% of the time if you speak with 2 different OnPeak reps you will get 2 wildly different answers. It seems clear that OnPeak doesn't even bother to share enough information about THEIR OWN PROCESS to allow THEIR OWN PEOPLE to do their jobs well. Either that, or they don't actually have a process and they're making it up as they go along.  ??? ??? ???

I stand by my feeling that OnPeak (the company) is terrible.

Ugh, every new I get an email notification, I get hopeful. My hotel is taken care of, but we're trying to get a second room. Plus, I'm hoping to pay it forward on the forum.

You know, they probably read all of this stuff. They probably huddle around one person's computer and laugh, then cause massive delays for Hotels.

"Oh, yeah? You have ill-wishes for us? Well, take THIS!!" *Pushes button* 3-hour delay ensues.

If they're really sadistic, and your screen name matches your Onpeak email, they may put 2 and 2 together and "misplace" your email. Be afraid! Be VERY afraid!!  >:D >:D MOOOOHAHAHAHAAAA!!

I think that's supposed to be part of the fun.

I worked out this morning instead of my usual lunchtime because I knew I could not run around the same time emails could possibly arrive. I’d be a nervous wreck and want to turn back around and check my phone.

I think they will be sent out soon. All the hotels are slowly opening back up for reservation changes.
