So I managed to cancel 2 extra hotel rooms I had for single days, and the lady with whom I spoke said she'd waive the cancelation fee/deposit. Does anyone know how the refund will with since the charge says through onpeak?

A few years ago I had 2 friends get into a debilitating accident on their way from Nevada.  The hotel called the hospital, verified they were admitted, and since the room was in both our names (thank God), they sent me a check within a month or two. The check was from the hotel, not OnPeak.

=)

Oh, no! I'm sorry to hear that that happened :(

But thank you so much for the answer! I was worried it might get lost in the shuffle considering how busy they are and how obnoxious I've been.

Has anyone received an email from MGH welcoming them? Last year I received it really early on a Sunday and I was coming in on Wednesday. This year I'm coming in on Tuesday and there's been no communication.

Nope, haven't received anything from MGH at all. I have two reservations, one from OnPeak (which was transferred to me by a fellow FOCC'er), and one from hotels.com for Tuesday night (it was $10 cheaper than going through MGH's own website). But I've only received the original OnPeak confirmation from a few months ago and a Hotels.com one this past week.

Please call them and get your confirmation number. You can also have them email it to you.

Nope. I just ended up calling them to confirm that my reservation is good to go.

We had not received a confirmation email from MMM as of Saturday night so we went to the Marriott website and plugged in the onpeak confirmation.  Everything showed up and we were able to generate a confirmation email.  So definitely try that if you haven’t received anything.

I just called MGH, and they were able to confirm everything (both my OnPeak reservation + my Hotels.com reservation). Of course, I'm still a little paranoid something will go wrong. I've heard enough stories about people losing their rooms even after receiving confirmations. I'll be happy once I open the door to my room.

In previous years I always received an email from OnPeak of the "official" hotel confirmation number. None this year.

So I just called the hotel directly to confirm and they also sent a confirmation email.

I just checked in at MMM. For anyone staying here, they have moved the Starbucks over to the bottom of the North Tower, near the entrance to the old Nintendo Lounge/where the GoT Beer Bar was in previous years. The old Starbucks location at the top of the escalators now looks like the con-event beer place.

Also, no resort fee on the OnPeak portion of my reservation!

I sure hope it's the beer place -for coffee, the coffee makers in the hotel rooms are good enough for me, but beer is important!    :)

Just called and confirmed my stay at the Hard Rock. Weird that no emails were sent out.

When did you cancel and what hotel was it? Trying to cancel one night at the Intercontinental  but the hotel is saying I can’t get deposit back, (I’m trying to offer it here on the forum as a last resort)
