I got covid a couple weeks ago and took Paxlovid. So I tested positive on a Thursday, felt yucky for a few days, felt better and tested negative on Wednesday, and started feeling yucky again and tested positive on Friday. So it seems that I got one of the Paxlovid rebound cases. I tested this morning and still very positive, so assuming the negative wasn't accurate I've been positive at least 12 days.
Sorry to hear that! Hopefully, you get better soon. You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login I am going to pretend you are on the couch for liking Nightmare Alley. I hope your wife feels better soon.
Wow that's unfortunate; hope you feel better soon! The craziest thing about this ordeal so far is that my wife got a teleconference with her doctor on a Sunday morning (!); he did not recommend Paxlovid at this time, and also reassured her that her having asthma wouldn't be a detriment: he told her that folks w/asthma have actually statistically faired better than average.
Interesting, My doctor was the opposite and gave me the drugs. My brother and niece, also asthmatics in a different state got the drugs. My cousin lives near me, high risk her doctor said no (she has Guillain Barre Syndrome) but her non-high-risk husband got it.I will say I have noted most friends in red states got it, high-risk or not.
Yeah, to be honest we haven't even considered needing to go to the hospital or anything at this time. Seems like it's definitely not fun, but she doesn't seem to be experiencing any breathing issues (though her doc did prescribe an inhaler just in case)
I hope that you are feeling better soon You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login ! *hugs*

Paxlovid is most effective for people over 65. As one study put it, "Paxlovid Has Little To No Benefit For Younger Adults With Covid".
Be sure to call the doctors and let them know
Patients were adults 18 years of age and older with a prespecified risk factor for progression to severe disease or were 60 years and older regardless of prespecified chronic medical conditions.
That sounds like Paxlovid rebound. People do test negative and think they are clear. Only to test positive again. That's the rebound. So that negative test is halftime.Paxlovid is most effective for people over 65. As one study put it, "Paxlovid Has Little To No Benefit For Younger Adults With Covid".
