Mine was when I was 22, I worked with some old friends from high school at Little Caesar's Pizza to pay for college. We were off the clock after the store had closed, and they'd started drinking; one of them looks at me and goes, "Dude...you look just like that sidekick character from the Jolly Green Giant commercials. What was his name? Little Sprth...Dude. I'm drunk...Sprz...Sprzout! Yeah, that's it!"

The name stuck, so I started using it for my name on BBSes, on forums, etc. Nobody ever uses that spelling, so I'm pretty safe knowing it's not taken. :)

At the age of 22, yes, I did. Now I look more like Kevin Smith (complete with bald spot on the back of my head) LOL

I have been using this username since early teenhood. Dogberry is a comedic character in Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing, and I loved his use of malapropisms and ironic role in - yeah I better stop before I end up punching myself in the face for being a boring old bint.

And now Dogberry has been done by Joss Whedon! It's come full circle... ;)

When I was a baby, in the predawn early light when the birds would start chirping and signing, I would flap my little arms in my crib and say "Wikki! Wikki! Wikki!" in response. So, now, my nickname is Wikki. :-D

tehlilone = teh lil one

teh because I got in the habit of typing teh when I typed too fast on AIM

lil because I used to be the smallest/shortest person among my friends (I'm only 5' tall... altho I've grown sideways  :-[)

one because... well there's only one me... and I am teh lil one

I continue to use it because I find it amusing. It's kind of creepy to admit but if you google "tehlilone" you'll find mostly only accounts made by myself. Every once in a while you get a random person but I'd say 95% of the stuff out there for tehlilone is me :) It's an alias I've been using since middle school.

Dogberry has been one of my favourite Shakespeare creations from studying English Lit. at school - I knew the reference and I'm glad that it's actually that you've drawn from. 'Boring old bint'? Hardly.

oneroomdisco is a remnant of my days in J-Pop fandom (which due to busyness/my faves taking breaks/starting to suck/etc, I've mostly fallen out of).  It's one of by Perfume, despite the fact that I'll probably never get it over how deceptive the first twenty seconds are (I still really, really want the song promised by those twenty seconds).

I'm a band teacher/musician and my primary instrument is percussion/drums.  A LONG time ago, when AOL ruled the world, a colleague of mine, also a percussionist, used the AOL username of vibe 2100, so when I started a hotmail mail account I used perc as an abbreviation of 'percussion,' and stole my friends psuedo-arbitrarily chosen number of "2100."  Since so many forums utilize email accounts, I usually just use "perc2100" as a username as an easy way to a) remember the username and b) remember which email account is associated with the forum.  In more professional-setting forums and organizations I use my more formal emails, which typically revolve around my name, and I use the 'hotmail' account & username for the more fun forums.
