Today I started Dark Places by Gillian Flynn, the author of Gone Girl.  I'm enjoying it so far!

Oooo... Gone Girl is an amazingly well-written book that required a long shower upon finishing, and I will never need to read again.

I do want to read her previous two novels, but I have to pace myself.

Yesterday I started re-reading Slaughterhouse-Five again. For the n-th time.

I think I'll get this one next week. Star Wars Heir to the Jedi.  You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away. . . .

A thrilling new adventure set between A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back, and-for the first time ever-written entirely from Luke Skywalker’s first-person point of view.

I finished Dark Places by Gillian Flynn.  Two days, so obviously I was drawn in.  I'd recommend it!

I've never read Slaughterhouse Five or many of the other "classics" mentioned.  I need to start a reading list from this thread!

These were the newest reads to me that I recently finished...great, great books.  Can't wait for the next to come out.  Best new thing I read in ages.

I have, as well as the rest of the Wheel of Time...him taking that over I thought really made those books great.

I bogged down in Wheel of Time when the books were first coming out. I thought they were never going to come to a conclusion. Now that the series is finished, I may give them a try again. I really love Sanderson's character development.

I was getting tired of them, much like I totally fell out of favor with the Game of Thrones books (after #4), but when Sanderson took the reins to finish Wheel of Time, it was excellent I thought.  That turned me onto Way of Kings.  Waiting for that next book now.

I just ordered Slaughterhouse-Five.  Need to see why you all like it so much :)  And the Gillian Flynn book I haven't read yet, Sharp Objects.

You will find the book very different. Some are delighted,; others are put off. It made me a huge Vonnegut fan.

Yep, just go in with an open mind and enjoy the ride. It is fairly short and moves quickly.
