« on: August 24, 2012, 04:56:02 AM »
My son & I've caught the first two seasons, but haven't started the latest yet (it's stacked up on the tivo waiting for free time).

the first ep is abt recreating the sw cantina scene. the show is replaying a lot on the SyFy channel.

I looooove Face Off! I've been watching it from the beginning too, and Tuesday's episode was great :)

I'd love to do more of that type of thing for real. I've done some zombie makeups with latex before, and I was involved in museum work for a while, and that's surprisingly similar, it's a lot of fun!

Living vicariously through the TV ftw...

This is one 'reality' contest that I enjoy watching.  I don't watch it for the competition, but the skills and imagination of them all. It's absolutely amazing how people can transform another through such techniques.

Have you heard there's a new show called Hot Set? It'll be by the same producers.

I love this show!! I was disappointed when we missed the live appearance @ 2011 SDCC

****SPOILER ALERT******

I'm so glad that guy walked out! His team partner seemed far more talented & did not deserve to get booted for that hideous make-up job! I'm also very happy that the new judge addition noted that the partner was in a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" position during the final.
The male "goth/rocker" judge was acting like a jerk, granted I don't know if he had seen the work-in-progress videos which clearly showed the walk-out's inability to work as a team!

***********************

All in all, still love the show! I wish Syfy would hire some of these great FX/makeup artists full time! Their "made-for-tv-movies" sure could use the talent!!

Thanks for flagging the spoiler.  By the way, if you click the "SP" button (to the right) above the area where you type, that is the spoiler button.  This can be used in addition to the flag ahead of the post.

It blacks out the text until you hover over it.
