Does it usually sell-out? Not sure if I want to buy tickets yet.

Went to Funday last year, you get a box of Freddies and chances at getting other stuff like prototypes, big Freddies and other types of funko stuff, it's a mad house where the insiders have tables up front and usually just dish out the giveaways to each other, if you go bring friends and try to get a table up front, so you get a better chance at the exclusive stuff, kind of silly when you see grown adults yelling and begging for stuff!!  I haven't got any funko stuff since then, due to lack of room and interest, and have no plans of attending this years event.  But if you want to real lowdown on the event looks at the funko forum boards!!

I'm going this year. I went last year we got 3 boxes of Freddie's, and three Golden Dumbos. It was a cool event.
Best part of San Diego Comic Con 2012 was waiting for My Little Pony Durpy Hooves for 6 hours with about 6 other fathers all getting them for their daughters.

So was it like sdtopdog said, that only people at the front tables got the stuff and that they mostly gave to to each other. If this is the case I'm going to be real upset that I just spent $70 for a ticket and gave up going to the Sherlock event.

Thanks Karl. BTW, I'm staying at the Wyndham so definitely interested in a meet-up at the event. My room-mate, Sarah also bought a ticket.

Bit the bullet and got 3 tickets for this as well.
Will do Sherlocke for the first hour then head over to Funko.
Anyone know if its start at 8 and you must be there or can you arrive late?

A friend and I are going.  Not sure how big a Funko fan he is, but I only collect the MLP figures.  In the pictures I have seen, seems like the place is teeming with figures to be given away, so I'm going into it with a free mind and low expectations since I don't know what to expect.

Question on food, is it at least decent?  I hear its buffet style.

We got a table in the middle of the room. But it did seem like the back tables where ignored.

Conspiracy theory: some think Funko is toying with us and keeps adding tickets....

These were my observations too. The organizers kept some of the tables (including mine) yelling and stomping while ignoring us, while distributing multiple rounds of prizes to the tables with insiders as mentioned. I realize that nothing (besides the box of fun you get with your admission) is guaranteed and I didn't need to leave with a truckload of exclusives as some people did, but after being told to scream and yell for over an hour (while the tables that got prizes early on got to sit down and in some cases, still got multiple rounds) and then at the end finally ending up with not any of the Fundays exclusives, but rather one of the picked-over protos from the end of the night, then I'm going to feel a little played around with.

I went in 2012 and it was much better. I didn't end up with that much more, but at least they didn't keep my table (or any others) on edge for that long, and the giveaway distribution seemed much more even. I'm most likely going to give it one more chance, but if it's more like 2013 than 2012 then it will be my last.

It's not a conspiracy theory...they do keep on adding tickets.  I've checked a bunch of times since they first sold out yesterday and it fluctuates between being sold out and available--when available, the # available keeps on going up and down, but is always in the single digits.
