Group Travel?
« on: June 09, 2017, 09:35:59 AM »
So, four (!!) cups of coffee in, and the brain starts working overtime...

Has anyone ever thought of the possibility of group travel here?  I mean, we're all about groups here, so, has anyone ever thought of hitting up a specific airline to see if an organized group can travel out of a location?  For example, for folks in the PA/NJ area, maybe link up to see if we could get a better deal on flights for the group?

Just a thought...

That's a great idea and we need something like that from the PA/NJ area.

I have no idea how that actually works but i'm sure there's info out there to help.

Some airlines do (or used to) offer group rates for x number of people in a party, but I have never looked into it.

Travel Planners used to offer discount airfare on their website for SDCC.

I can see that onPeak does offer discounts for other events, but I haven't found anything for SDCC.

On Southwest's site for folks that might be coming from multiple places they've a program (like when you go to a convention for work) that helps provide cheaper fares...so I reached out...we'll see what's what.
