Guessing Lego isn’t doing exclusives.

Wouldn’t make that assumption. No end date for the portal and at least mattel said Monday’s the exclusive day for them.

At Celebration, Lego didn’t have an exclusive, just advanced sale of a bobble head set.  It’s already been announced that Hasbro isn’t physically selling on site, just online.  They may be doing a QR code you can pick up like at Celebration, and at Celebration picking up one of those codes was no problem.

Yes!  Looks like Lego will not be a part of the god forsaken CCI Lottery.  Everyone will now have to make a decision on whether to work for the exclusives.

At what point do we except that Lego is not going to have any exclusives this year? It’s less then a week till the Con….

I expected that as soon as they weren’t in the lottery.

With things being what they are, I get it.  But I'd not be surprised if we show up at PN Wednesday and they got exclusives, but who knows. Bigger item is we're going back to SDCC next week!!!

Considering Lego has announced a few exclusives on preview night itself on non-supply issue years I also wouldn't be surprised. Given, they did announce a few those years before PN and were just adding to the list...but still. Lego can sometimes be a hot mess at the best of times.

They are so exclusive that if you bought one, they’d have to kill you just to keep it exclusive.

Well we can definitely accept they won't be in the Portal for exclusives.  Other than that, as with all things Comic-Con, I accept that I'll expect the unexpected, not really expect anything, and be pleasantly surprised if there are exclusives.  They always have so much great stuff to buy at their booth anyway, often an item or two that isn't in stores yet.

But, I don't go to SDCC to buy stuff so it's not a big deal for me

At the end positivity didn’t work out for all of  us.  :( Although I had a blast playing the touch the block game at the Lego booth. I think between my wife and I we brought home like eight boxes of Lego. Stocking Stuffers. Wonder what’s going happen next year. I guess it make sense to get rid of the exclusives. Less angry adults and happier kids..

Good article on what happen to Lego,Hasbro,Mattel from UBlog. It’s under the “Losers” section as expected.

I enjoyed this SDCC very much. It took me back to the days of 2007/2008 before things became congested. The article of Unofficial was great but it could have easily been a top 10/bottom 10 subject. I was able to get everything I pinpointed from my want list from Mattel, Yesterday's, Funko, Mindstyle, BAIT, NECA, Toddland, Tamashii Nations, Mondo, FigPin, Fugitive Toys, Hasbro, Konami, and the Disney Jeepney pin. I wouldn't have acquired what I wanted if I didn't have friends win lotteries in the Portal (Funko twice and Mondo), and by teaming up and splitting duties to which booth to go to during the 5 days of SDCC. I have no complaints because I always plan for the worse and expect the worse and when things go as planned which was the majority of the time then it was a giant W for me and my friends. For the smart SDCC attendee you always plan out between 15-20 that you want/interest you and in reality you only are able to achieve at best half of your list. I was very fortunate to get every single thing I wanted and that's because I just don't have a plan A or Plan B but plans C-Z etc. For those of you disappointed in this SDCC then that's on you, but for me and many others it was a gigantic success and I can't wait intil SDCC 2023.
