I know it's a long shot & not sure how it can be done even if there is an interested party but:

My group has two rooms at Marriott Marquis & Marina but would rather stay at Embassy Suites San Diego Bay or Residence Inn Gaslamp quarter.
 
Current Res:
Rm 1: Marriott Marquis & Marina 7/17-7/22 1 King or 2 Double
Rm 2: Marriott Marquis & Marina 7/17-7/20 1 King or 2 Double
Through TP so reservations are 'cancelable' before 4/30 and I believe dates can be adjusted based on availability. Two nights deposit has been paid.

Willing to trade for either at Embassy Suites San Diego Bay Residence Inn Gaslamp quarter (queen bed w/ pullout sofa sleeper):
Only caveat is that we cannot be in smoking rooms, allergies.
One 2 bdrm suite for dates 7/17-7/22

Newbie12, I sent you a PM re we have a room at the U.S. Grant Hotel (nonsmoking hotel) in the Gaslamp area we would trade for Marriott Marquis & Marina.

We have a "1 King or 2 Double beds" reservation through Travel Planners at the U.S. Grant hotel from July 17 to July 21, 2013 (my understanding is the dates can be extended) that we would like to trade for the San Diego Marriott Marquis & Marina or the Hilton San Diego Bayfront, the Hard Rock Hotel, the San Diego Marriott Gaslamp Quarter, or the Residence Inn Gaslamp Quarter.  We have already paid two nights' deposit via our credit card.

Hilton Bayfront has provided their link via twitter and FB again for $599/nt rooms.  To book, visit... You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login  If you get an error message the first time you click the link, just try again.  I checked it out about 5 minutes ago and rooms were still available.

Rooms have been available for the past week and if i read their twitter feed correctly they made more rooms available at this price within the past few days.

Rooms are definitely still available at that rate. If you haunt the Marriott site, you can find rooms there too for $650 or $675 per night.

I booked two rooms at the Manchester Grand Hyatt for July 13 - 22.  It is $229/night/room but to get that rate I had to arrive the 13th.  Anyway, we have a smaller group going and need just one room so I no longer need the second room.  It is an ADA King room.  I can just cancel it if no one is interested but thought I'd put it out there just in case....

So, if anyone wants to take over the reservation (it was booked Wednesday - Sunday), it's for a non-smoking 1 queen bed at the Inn at Sunset Cliff.

My husband works 3rd shift and I'd have to ask him if he remembers how much the room was reserved for, but it was pretty cheap.  If interested in details, email me directly - I'm not a regular user of this forum and I'm bound to forget to check here.
