Hi I booked a room at the Crowne Plaza San Diego during the early bird special but am not able to attend comic con :(

On a related topic, you can refund your comic con badge here before May 15th:

Just be 100% sure before you do so because getting your badge back would be extremely difficult.

Just received this e-mail

Dear James Watari,

Thank you for booking your reservation for Comic-Con 2013 through Travel Planners Inc., the official hotel reservations service.

For reservations canceled on or after June 2, 2013; ALL DEPOSITS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.

Yep, we got that too! I guess it means that we're good to go.

But yeah, a good reminder that after next Tuesday, you'll forfeit one night's deposit if you cancel your hotel.

Just wanted to provide an update:
TardisMom's offer for the Manchester Grand Hyatt has been taken.

A quick announcement:
Thank you to all of you who provided hotel offers for your fellow forum members!  It was very kind of you to help out another Comic-Con fan in need.  ^-^/

I'll be closing this thread very soon, especially since the April 30th hotel deadline for full refunds has passed already.

After Monday, May 6th, I will no longer be updating the contents of the first post.

This means that--after May 6th--if you would like to remove your entry from the first post, please contact me via PM.

Please remember the following (taken straight from Comic-Con's hotel page: You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login):
For cancellations received from May 1 to June 1, 2013, a cancellation fee equal to one night’s room and tax will be charged. The cancellation fee will be deducted from your deposit.

- Starting on June 2, 2013, ALL DEPOSITS ARE NONREFUNDABLE.

- Each hotel’s payment policies vary; the date that your total balance is due will be dependent upon the policies of your hotel. All hotels place a deposit on your credit card or debit card when you check in and charge the balance on check out. Please ask your hotel for their policy.

Thanks again, everyone!  For those of you who are still waiting to hear back from any waiting lists, I wish you the best of luck. ^-^

It's late in the game... there has to be some people out there with back up hotel reservations they could part with or a Travel Planners hotel they have now come to find out they can not use because they were eliminated from the resale...

Who are you, what hotel reservations do you have to give or transfer????

Hotels are still available through TP on Coronado Island, Mission Bay and Hotel Circle.

If you have the $$$, the Hilton Bayfront is still selling direct-booking rooms for $599 per night.

I have a backup reservation at Manchester Grand Hyatt and I was going to cancel it once my TP reservation at Manchester Grand Hyatt  shows up in their system. I'm always a little paranoid with TP until the reservation show up at the actual hotel.

July 16 to July 23 @399 per night, two queen or 1 king (2 persons)

I would rather deal with a forum regular or I will probably cancel as soon as I get confirmation from Hyatt that my TP reservation is good.

It also doesn't hurt to remember to check TP:

Right now it looks like all Fridays are booked up, but just yesterday I saw open Westgate rooms (7 blocks from the Convention Center).

Hilton bayfront still has rooms available. It is through their Facebook special so the price is hiked up a little bit (putting it lightly).

Sheraton Suites/Symphony Hall available Thursday thru Monday Club Suite rooms.  Standard Suites Sunday & Monday.  Not familiar with the hotel.  It's 1 mile away.  It's also the only hotel I saw with rooms available on Friday.
