it's not because of Epic's inadequacies it's because there are too many different countries & their respective lottery laws. I gather it's impossible to do a world wide lottery due to all the different laws.
Here's the worst case scenario for me. I'll be picked to purchase badges on Monday June 17 and will be told it will be on the following Thursday at 9am. That would be the worst time for me as I have to step out then. If they pick 8am, then hopefully I can make a successful badge purchase in less than an hour.Being that I didn't have good luck at last year's online pre-reg, I'm pretty open to doing on-site badge reg, except I don't know if I will like camping out the night before.
I wonder how Travel Planners gets around it?
To me this sounds like they will be offering on-site registration for 2014 this year.
I'm confused. So they are going to select 10,000 that are eligible and from that select the winners? If that's right, I'm curious as to why they are doing it in two steps as opposed to just selecting the winners.Can someone please give me the "captain dummy talk" version?
Andrew, if you get picked for Thursday next week at 9 am I can make the purchase for you if you wish, using your info. It's the least I can do since I can't help you get a badge the traditional way.
My only thought is that IF you are eligible, you would need/want a Saturday badge yourself.I may just look at tweaking the thread in the Pass Sale 2013 section and list everyone who needs a badge AND is eligible so that everyone in there knows who they can try to help. The more folks we have participating, the better the odds of getting one of the spots to purchase for yourself and to help another person.
