Ian Fischer (filmmaker) and Ross Williams (composer) screen clips from the feature documentary on legendary comic book artist Steve Rude (Nexus, World's Finest, Moth) and discuss the making of the film that took over five years to finish. Following the screening will be an open Q&A.

Welcome to Science Fiction Land, the documentary feature that explores the stranger-than-fiction saga of the unrealized '70s sci-fi film adaptation of Roger Zelazny's Lord of Light and plans to build the world's first science theme park. In a bizarre twist, the screenplay and park plans were later used by the CIA in their now celebrated Argo mission. Award-winning filmmaker Judd Ehrlich (Magic Camp, Mayor of the West Side) and Lord of Light producer and Science Fiction Land creator Barry Ira Geller discuss this extraordinary story, along with a panel of people who lived through it. Catch a sneak peek and learn how "King of Comics" Jack Kirby and other luminaries contributed to the dream of Science Fiction Land!

Members of the San Diego Star Wars Society -- Brendan Prout, Jessica Woods, Linda Crispien, and Dean Amstutz -- veteran hosts of trivia game shows at Comic-Con International since 2002, have prepared an even bigger challenge this year for all fans who think they know their stuff about the galaxy far, far away. Returning this year will be one-game rounds for kids 12 and under, in addition to rounds for ages 13 to adult. Test your knowledge and win one of the many valuable prizes!

Didn't get into either Hall H or Ballroom 20 today? We feel your pain! Do you like stuff? Of course you do! Then join the assistant to the director of programming for Comic-Con international Tommy Goldbach in this 3-hour block in which Comic-Con will rebroadcast some of the day's popular panels from those two giant rooms. Best of all, those in attendance will get to vote in a show of applause on what they want to see. It's democracy at its finest and it's a second chance to see these panels. (Please note: these playbacks will include only the panel discussions. None of the film clips or footage shown at the live events will be shown here.)
 
8:15PM —  9:15PM  Femme Fatales Revealed: Looks Still Kill as the Hit TV Series Comes Home

Go behind the scenes of the show that Entertainment Weekly hails as "a badass chick anthology series" and The Huffington Post calls "Pulpy Fun." Inspired by film noir, graphic novels, and pulp fiction, the stars and creators celebrate the DVD release of the show's hit second season from eOne Home Entertainment with some special giveaways, including season 1 DVDs and soundtrack albums. On stage, meet your favorite guest stars, including Dean Haglund (The X-Files) and Reggie Hayes (Girlfriends), and stunning femmes fatales Nikki Griffin (Dukes of Hazzard, Fast and Furious III), Kristen DeLuca, Jen Roa, and composer Joe Kraemer (Jack Reacher), along with series creators Mark A. Altman (DOA: Dead or Alive, Free Enterprise) and Steve Kriozere (NCIS, V.I.P.), who will make a special announcement. All attendees will get an exclusive Femme Fatales poster. 8:30PM —  9:30PM   H. P. Lovecraft and the Necronomicon: 75 years of Mingling Fact and Fiction

2013 marks the 75th anniversary of the History of the Necronomicon, a short essay written by iconic horror author H. P. Lovecraft and published a year after his death. Since then, the dreaded tome written by the Mad Arab Abdul Alhazred has appeared in movies, books, comics, cartoons, art, music, and games. Although originally a literary hoax, hundreds of products bear its name today. Come explore the truth and legend behind the greatest creation of the 20th century's greatest weird fiction writer, and learn how and why the book and its creator continue to influence all aspects of culture. With Brian Callahan (owner of Arkham Bazaar), Mike Dubisch (illustrator of The Black Velvet Necronomicon: Black Velvet Cthulhu), Cody Goodfellow (writer, All-Monster Action), Leslie S. Klinger (editor, The New Annotated H.P. Lovecraft, 2014), Mark Kinsey Stephenson (Randolph Carter in The Unnamable and The Unnamable II), Bryan Thao Worra (Innsmouth Free Press columnist), and Brian Yuzna (producer/director, Necronomicon: Book of Dead). Moderated by Aaron Vanek (organizer of the H. P. Lovecraft Film Festival-Los Angeles).

Ballroom 20
Ballroom 20 becomes a showplace of spectacle as fabulous original and re-created costumes crafted by our talented attendees are showcased on stage before an audience of thousands, with impressive awards and cash prizes bestowed to those deemed most outstanding by our guest judges. Doors will open for audience seating at 7:45, but the line will start much earlier! Tickets will be required for seating and will be given out free to those lining up near Ballroom 20 beginning at noon on Saturday. Any remaining tickets will be available at the Masquerade Desk near Ballroom 20 after 4:00. The Masters of Ceremonies will once again be writers/artists and Girl Genius creators Phil Foglio and Kaja Foglio of Studio Foglio. Intermission entertainment will feature the Saber Guild performance group.
