I'm happy that i've been at each one so far since it started. looking at the numbers it has definitely grown in impressive leaps, especially after the Comic Con crazy caught on in 2009. it is currently at 2/3 what SDCC is.

2006 - 33,000
2007 - 49,000
2008 - 64,000
2009 - 77,000
2010 - 96,000
2011 - 105,000

Thanks.  I had seen those figures.  Is the 105K a max or do they have room to grow?  Google is not telling me what I want to know.   :o

Chris, I know they've been working on expansions but I think it might've been done with that for a while now and are working on renovations.

What they should do is work in the entire downstairs halls for extra exhibit floor space instead of using them for queuing rooms. it would severely break up the flow of the con but theoretically you can add way more tickets and even vendors.

If anyone has downloaded the app, the schedule is already live on there... even though it's not up on the website.

I wonder if NYCC could potentially be bigger than SDCC one day.  It sounds like they have room to grow while San Diego has the cap from the fire marshal.  Just a random curiosity...

San Diego is 400,000 square feet bigger. I think NYCC has the potential to be huge but I don't think it will ever be bigger.

Does anyone have any lines on parties? There is one for GGN and one for Image Comics/Multiplicity (?) but they are both cash bars.

Only two more weeks!  I'm getting kind of excited.  Besides the lure of a new con, it's also the first one I've talked my little sister into going to, so I'm super psyched about that.

Since it is my first time going, I have some questions I'm hoping y'all can answer.
- What kind of setup is this?  They're not clearing the room between panels, but can you leave to go to the bathroom in the larger rooms (such as IGN) or get food?  Or are you stuck in there all day with no options?
-  Can I bring my own food / water, etc. into the con like I would in San Diego?

I got my badge in the mail yesterday.  I'm a little in awe of the fact that they don't have names on them nor are they replaceable... it's making me super paranoid!
