Just finished watching the first episode.

My verdict - Well done! I was engaged and invested from the start. Will not spoil but I am thinking of buying hazmat suits sometime soon. Lol.

This is certainly a show to watch!

Thank you for reading!  I'm so glad you enjoyed the write ups and pictures. We're always so happy and honored to get feedback like yours, because that is exactly what we're aiming for when we do these convention reports.  :)

I enjoyed your coverage of that convention so much that I am going back and reading about others...Star Wars Celebration is first on my list.

As I usually enjoy 'disease-aster' plots, I liked the first episode pretty much.

I still think it is odd that so many non-American actors are getting primary roles in American shows and films.  Unfortunately, their accents are sometimes also odd.  Claudia Black is particularly jarring, and she tries so hard.

As for the overall show. I am going to watch, and hope it develops characters that I care about, and stories that at least mostly make sense.

So far it looks good. I liked that they bookended the episode with Day 13. It adds a menace to all of the 'it will be over in 48 hours' assurances that would otherwise make the whole thing seem like less of a threat.

Oh.  Once the show began, I realized this is a remake of 'Cordon', a series from Belgium that takes place in Antwerp. I found 'Cordon', sometime last year and watched several hours of it.  The plots grew too complicated for me to follow with subtitles so I ditched it.  Glad to see it in English.

As I look forward to the next episode, I really hope that they stick with the number of episodes planned- with a beginning and an END to the tale.  Even if it becomes super popular, end it where you planned.  Please.

In the panel, I think they said it would end on Day 19??? So that *might* be an end....

After all, it is a 'limited series event'. ;)

I'm digging the ensemble cast so far. Some CW shows can be so...CW-y, so it's nice to see the actors trying to bring a little humanity to their roles.

Also, A+ on the scary disease plotline. This was definitely not a good week to get the sniffles!

I agree with the CW-y analogy. They are finally shaking free from that.

I saw the pilot episode over the weekend and really enjoyed it. I liked it because as TJ pointed out you can picture this happening in any city. I liked how they were taking the precautions that they were and in episode two I found myself really liking how plausible and true to life the virus is spreading and the governments response to it. Some of the acting I was a little disappointed in, but overall, I can't wait for the third episode.

You knew it was going to ramp up quickly, because otherwise there wasn't going to be much of a show. But I like the way they've done it. For now, it's still in the cordon, but that brings up the legitimate question of what if it spreads further? Are they going to sentence everyone in the cordon to die, to save everyone outside of the cordon? It's a tough decision to make, and that kind of drama is what's going to keep the show interesting (IMHO).

It's too soon. It's been less than 48 hours so far. Although the pregnant girl's Mom (who owns that deli/store/cafe) was apparently jacking up prices, so she's still selling food and there aren't riots.

But then, the brief glimpses we got of Day 13 showed people fighting over MREs, so clearly there are food drops happening later on.

Loved Claudia Black in Farscape and SG 1.  I want to smack her silly in CONTAINMENT. Must mean that she is doing a good acting job.

I am starting to see the low cost production here.  It doesn't feel like Atlanta, GA, although I believe it was filmed there.  It  looks too clean for being a disease-aster series.  Where's the trash on the floor, and the dirty clothes that folk have been in for hours and had to sleep in?  They should be looking pretty wrinkled and messy by now.

They don't hesitate to show 'blood' though.  Dripping...icky...blood.

I am sticking with it.
