I'm going to see it on Monday, IMAX 3-D. I'm excited but my boyfriend is really excited -he's been a fan of Dr. Strange since he was a kid in the in 1960s and a fan of Benedict Cumberbatch ever since I got him watching Sherlock with me. We saw the "See It First" 15 minutes of footage about a month ago, and that got us convinced we had to see the whole movie in the IMAX 3-D.
Doctor Strange will be on Netflix in May!
I remember being impressed with the sound design. In particular with the brutality of the car crash and when the ancient one pushes his astral form out. I think I got bleeding goosebumps at that one.
I am also over the hologram thingies in movie, but loved the yellow symbology (new word) around his hands when spell casting.
They did that very well. I also like how it acted like a shield. Don't remember seeing that in the comic.Yeah, the filmmakers did a great with all of that in the film, IMO: beautiful use of color! The sound was also great. I remember seeing it in theaters (I got to see it at an early Disney screening, where execs were in the house & the sound + picture were dialed in for max. effect) and being really unnerved by the car crash, partially because of the way it was shot but mostly because of how great the sound design was
